I dont generally mate but listen a bit to Rushden and Glendenning on Sunday morning. They both dislike it. Rushden interviewed a lady who was held and tortured by them a few year ago and states it was the most upsetting conversation he had ever had.

Christ.

Maybe I need to rethink my previous assumptions about that station?
I still think of it sometimes as the sports offshoot of the 'shock jock' talk radio!

I love the fact how they think everyone should leave it and move on...boo hoo

The United with Pride thing further sows some doubt in my mind about the mentality of some of my fellow supporters. What are they afraid of? Are they so willing to sell out their cause on the off chance James Tarkowski might sign?

I’m seeing people like the odious wannabe gangster Wraith worm his way into the ear of Staveley and make out like he’s some fans voice with his band of puppets (less said about the equally disturbing Holly Blades the better)

Mike Ashley wasn’t a nice guy and was clearly in it for the money, but he employs people, pays his taxes and national insurance and no doubt saved the club from doing a Leeds (admittedly through his own stupidity of doing no due diligence) His biggest crimes football wise were probably trusting and appointing the wrong people to advise him, underinvestment in the training ground and cheaply selling off land around the stadium. Fellow fans protested, lobbied MPs, boycotted…all because we showed no ambition or hope.

Our problem is this generation are entitled and were brought up under Keegan then Robson and only know relative success and competing for European football. They don’t remember Lord Westwood, they don’t remember Richard Dinnis, they don’t remember doing nothing for decades and just existing, didn’t go up, didn’t go down, just coasted, like so many of the other 92 do. It’s created this sense of entitlement, which is probably a wider thing in society,

The Saudis…they kill people. They don’t care because we might win the Rumbelows Cup and it’s ok because they have some shares in Disney and we all drive cars with their oil.

I really don’t know anymore.

The comments man.
“First of all the Jury is out on every manager. He was not my first choice (Guardiola) or my second (Tuschel) or my third (Conte)”
”Howe is on a short contract simply because if Rafa becomes available they can get rid of him and appoint the king in waiting.”

🤣🤣🤣 Good luck Beheaddie.
Wow

I assume they are part of a larger countrywide “With Pride” thing? If they are then someone should be pushing for them to be disaffiliated?
I don’t think they have much choice given the rest of the organisation is openly campaigning against the Saudis. It’s common knowledge that gay supporters are planning protests. They can’t very well be privy to that information as it will be directly passed on to NUFC.
Theyve shown that to them, equality for gay and transgender people is secondary to bragging rights in a game of footy.
Gay people are being openly persecuted in the KSA. NUFC pride are obviously ok with this as long as they have a chance of watching better football.

Well said - I think there is a belief football was invented in 1992. For all of us from the halycon days - ha ha - we have done sweet FA as a region (supposed hotbed) for so long. Even I cling to the fading memories - I talk more about the Denis Smith team than this one - but when I look back we were mostly average for most of my supporting life. - by the way I have still had some tremendous days out and I wouldn't go back and change allegiance even if I knew what the 50 years would do to me!!

Not wanting to go off topic, but football without twitter or social media as a whole was a brilliant thing - fans seemed more patient and it seemed to be more about just decompressing after a week of work with your mates and a few pints. You saw a few good games, you saw a lot of shite.

Now half the ground has a podcast, youtube channel or writes for a fanzine and some of them spend more time filming the match than actually watching it.

Aye say that to the oppressed women and homosexuals/transgenders there, hope he or his family never fall foul of discrimination.
