Good. There's been a couple of managers who've come on the market since they sacked Bruce who would have been better fits. It's a bit of a shit appointment, really. As funny as it falling through would have been, it would have put them on the road to basically making a sensible appointment by accident.

Sorry to piss on chips here but the Inter thing won't be happening, at most it'll be a small percentage stake. I'm sure Grumpy will clear this up.

What's obvious, is they will buy other clubs eventually, but they'll be away from the European leagues. For now.

It's clear from the reports from Italy that the Chinese will no longer be involved in any way, That implies 100% Saudi ownership.

Chronic have outdone themselves today
Howes next 5 season predictor
This season they finish 11th
22/23 = 12th
23/24 = 9th
24/25 = 15th
25/26 = 11th
As if he would last 5 seasons, he will be gone by January, that's if he ever arrives.

Intersting quote from the Italian Journaist Marco Barzaghi. Unrest from the Saudis?

"A little clarification on the PIF issue. I say what I understand. For some time now I have been saying that something is moving. Marotta is working under the track on something important. The Saudis had concentrated on Newcastle but, as I told you, they are disappointed by the impossibility of bringing Saudi sponsors to the Premier League and by the difficulty of bringing coaches (see Conte) and top players to such a second-rate team ".

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I have confidence. That's all I'll say.

If you think Suning are willing sellers of a majority stake put a bet on some obscure betting site, seriously.

Like I've said previously Marseille is the club to watch.

And if you think the Saudis are going to "flip" a club just before 2030 vision, more fool you. That's the reason they've purchased a club in the first place
Selling before glory wad be like admitting they’ve got small knobs in public.

I’m amazed they’ve not gone for a club with easier access to the CL though. Marseilles wad make more sense than Newcastle and Inter.
It seems a trade off between legally being allowed to buy a club (not Germany or some in Spain) & finding a club and league big enough to draw attention to themselves & finding a league big enough to challenge that club in readiness for the CL which even City and PSG have yet to win.
In buying Newcastle or anyone in Italy that challenge may be too big. In Spain or France it maybe isn’t. Marseilles, Lyon, Valencia……hmm the lists not endless. There’s clubs get big crowds in Portugal, Holland, Scotland, Turkey, Greece etc but there’s very little interest outside of those countries.

Im struggling with their thinking so far tbh. Sportswashing without the glory of outdoing their fellow petro dollared up brethren would be a bit embarrassing wouldn’t it?

Newcastle pride trying to shut down all other pride groups now (read the full thread).

That's absolutely pitiful.

An umbrella organisation of NUFC gay groups welcoming the takeover of their club by a regime that gives gay people the death penalty and imprisons men for posting pictures of themselves without shirts.
Now trying to assist the club in minimising the impact other gay organisations might have on their owners.

They should be absolutely ashamed of their lack of integrity.
