Sadly you're right. The Saudis are used to the red carpet being rolled out wherever they go and protests and freedom of speech are banned and punished. They hate their atrocities being highlighted. They can't stop the protests here, only mask them on TV. The minority who are shouting about this will annoy them and it must be kept bubbling away. Brighton yesterday must have been subdued by BT. I'm pretty certain they would have been one of loudest.

I wrote an email to Amnesty international just after the takeover (Amnesty have ha money off me in the past) asking if they would be requesting that Sting make a statement about the takeover. Sting has been very vocal in his support of human rights and having concerts to raise money. Took an age but Amnesty replied with a wishy-washy reply. Thought no more of it but Sting has just popped up on the bbc wishing the couple dancing to one of his songs on strictly good luck. Can't find time to answer a human rights issue but time for strictly. At this time I am finding him a complete hypocrite but human rights are only an issue unless it is the football team you support. Think another email to Amnesty on Monday morning.

I’m surprised more wasn’t made of them saying that to Jones when they did (before having a manager, DoF or footballing strategy in place). Just another indication that they haven’t a clue what they’re doing.
