No, my wife is a primary school teacher and peddles the globe and space vacuum myth. Even when I get her drunk she refuses to break her cover and reveal the truth.

She went as far as to play a double bluff, describing people who thought it wasn't a global earth as being "f***ing yellow group crayon eaters"

Seriously? Now you're telling me what is and isn't in my theoretical clock, envisaged and described by me purely to illustrate a point? Behave man.

Face East. South is 3, North is 9, 12 IS overhead.
Or face North, 3 is East, 9 is West, 12 IS overhead.
Whichever you choose, there are places on Earth who see 6 overhead and your model cannot explain this.

I wish nearly all 7 billion people on the earth weren't so stupid and that we could think for ourselves. It's a shame only you and a few other people were blessed with the wisdom to see the truth.

I'm how wondering if my brother who works in aerospace is either lying to me about his work and understanding of the laws of motion or if he's wasted his time gaining a 1st degree in mechanical engineering and what he's using every day is now bullshit.

What you see overhead in this clock context is the pivot for the pointers, not a 12 o'clock or a 6 o'clock.

TBF I never realised how much rubbish I learned gaining my microbiology degree at UCL until I was schooled in virology by the wise sages on the Coronavirus forum.

I'm setting up a theoretical diagram, It doesn't actually exist. I'm inventing it to illustrate a point. You dont get to say where the pissing pointers go.
Ditch the clock, use a protractor. West - Overhead - East represents 0 - 90 - 180 degrees ok?
Somewhere, someone can see 180 - 270 - 360

I find this thread really entertaining and awkward in equal measure. Mainly for the insights and explanations from everyone which are great (excluding the obvious).
I work with animations and very large scale projections. Projection mapping and the like.
It's laughable on so many levels - Volumetric light rays, Occlusion, FOV, Source brightness, Heat transfer, power required, animation or gobo? Component parts. It is impossible with current technology or even theoretical tech to do this.
