Reports saying h’s knocked them back

What a twwat this fucker looks 😂😂
Suggesting they don't have a clear vision as well. Not necessarily time for the mags to worry, maybe the owners are just totally disorganised and it'll be better when they get a DoF in, but equally "lack of a clear vision" could be code for "he'd only go there if they were looking to spend so much that he couldn't fail and they aren't committing to that". If they're trying to sell the job and saying he's got £50m to spend then he'd probably look and think what's the point, it won't get them anywhere. Wouldn't say major red flags in their belief they're suddenly going to be the next Man City, but certainly a few suggestions that the owners aren't these massively ambitious people that managers would fall over themselves to join up with early

Reports out of the BBC now are that Emery has knocked them back after advice from bosses, family and friends. 🤣 Oh, Howe this is going to drag on
And on
And on🤣🤣🤣
Yet Sky Sports just reported on it and no mention of him "knocking us back"..... The real truth is we have no idea what they are thinking.
They may be clueless or they may be taking the time to assess all possible options thus indicating they do have a clue and do not intend to panic.

It would be unusual for bbc to splash it as their main football headline if they weren’t confident. BBC are normally behind sky with news - they were on the takeover. Possibly because they have the better info to Spanish football with this balague bloke

Possibly. I hope, whether they are failing in attempts to appoint a European manager or not, they abandon it and go for Potter with a promise of time.

It’s weird. He’ll get a payrise no doubt. However, I’d see it going one way. The Mags can’t attract the level of name above him yet. They’ll need a few years minimum to build a team to get that type of manager. I’m guessing they’d want one. Emery would be leaving a Champions League team, in a massive league, to take over a team that might very well get relegated. He’d last a certain amount of time, before he would be replaced, during this time I’m guessing it’s be too early to do anything noteworthy, apart from building, there’s every chance his reputation would be worse off when he left with a bigger bank balance.

Just my thoughts like.

Not sure why he'd be in a hurry to run to Newcastle. He couldn't make Arsenal a decent side in his time there, and Newcastle are a thousand miles behind where Arsenal were when he took over. His bread is buttered where he is imo. Newcastle would be a very long term task.
