I’m going to be controversial and say Emery is a good manager who had a hard job stepping into a club moulded in Wenger’s image.

The Talimags are the opposite, they absolutely hated Bruce and will do anything not to go back in time.

They don’t have the players to pivot from midfield and attack from the channels so they’ll end up playing like Rafa/Bruce for a good while yet.

It’s a question of whether UE has the personality or reputation of Rafa to keep them happy inbetween.
talimags

Hardly a shock. Arsenal have been a "nothing" team under Emery. No spark, verve or charisma in their play, no distinctive style and very little authority.

It's a Bitter sweet symphony this management lark.

I think it's a good appointment, and I rate him as a manager. He's done canny at Villareal and was excellent at Sevilla. He's won the Europa League 4 times in 8 years and a losing finalist once. Arsenal wasn't the job for him, Newcastle are more suited to him I think if they are ran correctly going forward. Hope it all goes wrong like :)
In Spain he's the man if you are looking for a manager, unless your Barca or Real. Excellent CV, nobody can dispute that. Last time he took over a good team at Villarreal and won them the Europa. This is England though. And he's not taking over a good team.

He's had 3 jobs outside of Spain. Disaster in Moscow, par at PSG (domestic success but not CL) and poor at The Arsenal where he was rightly sacked.

So the question is can he replicate what he can do in his home country?

Big gamble

Don't think they will play like Rafa and Bruce. Emery has some strong principles, likes to play it out from the back. It might be there undoing in this era of strong pressing teams.

pochettino has managed in prem , i'm talking about likes of fonseca, completely new to the league trying to turnaround club in short period of time, its not the right person for the job in hand.
Emery is the front runner. I'm guessing experience in the league formed part of the consideration when looking at/interviewing Favre, Fonseca, Howe et al

What do Emery, Favre, Fonseca, Howe and Martinez have in common? This is a genuine question, not the start of a joke.

I can't see what links them as managers/coaches so it all seems a little scattergun to me. Not really indicative of a coherent, well considered, structured, intelligent strategy.

Good point that

Of course it doesn’t because they don’t have a football person in that has created a strategy yet.
This should have been the first appointment.
The longer it goes on it’s seems like the owners believe they know what’s best in football terms.
I heard Brian Marwood mentioned a few weeks back, he would have been the person or type of person to appoint to make a plan.
I’m assuming he wasn’t approached and staying at City, thankfully
Amanda knows best eh 😂

They're not obese like the previous two.

They have vowels in their name.

Like their teams to pass it about a bit.

Since this morning i have had 3 Mag colleagues message me about the fact he has won loads of trophys elsewhere, seems they are as happy with this as they were with the waiter, im not sure the enthusiasm will last long to be honest.
