Theres a good little video on youtube done by a mag lambasting Ashley for fking up sjp redevelopment plans as he sold land at back of gallowgate for 9 million and now three huge blocks of flats and offices are going up !

Cant wait til the cathedral on the hill ends up in a soulless industrial piece of wasteland in a shite area like scotswood or walker. The old ''5 pund to look after your car mister'' young scallys are gonna have a field day.

I believe the fella taught them the traditional dance - don't know that for a fact.

Seems like the fans were accomdating of other people and cultures but no doubt it's horrendous sportswashing.

The flag was made in 2018/19 if I'm right before there was any chance of a takeover. It's been included for reasons that it is a landmark that means a lot to folk from Newcastle in their youth. Whether it was as the lazer zone or whatever other variations it took over the years. It brings back fond memories of the whole area for many.

In all honesty, I'm not arsed by it. The fact it resembles a mosque had no bearing at all.

Edit - as for its inclusion if it was a mosque pre takeover I don't think fans would have mind at all. Cisse and Ba and Ben Arfa? were all very successful practicing Muslims and we have Muslims in our fan base. I don't think fans would have minded at all.

We have had plenty of Muslim players, it wasn't just those three. You are forgetting, our fans once threw a f***ing french day for a few players. It's not a massive stretch to say the inclusion would have stretched to that.
