Shameful behaviour from *some* of our fans today

Reading this is awful like.
Took my kids, 13 and 10, to their first away game during week to QPR, cos it was half term - it was amazing, brilliant memories and they loved the atmosphere and everything about it (although my son did think the QPR fans were 'waving' at him:lol:)
I was desperately trying to get tickets to take them yest, so so pleased I missed this, not just cos of result.
Very sad to read all this - and will make me think twice about next away game.
How do all these nobs get tickets so easily?

It's a problem the closer the away is to Sunderland. South Yorkshire is an easy day trip. You can guarantee the dickheads (or most of them at least) won't be at Shrewsbury on the 23rd or Cambridge on the 27th of next month. The game against Wednesday on the other hand ......

Bairns be at school the next day mams won’t let them gan on a school night

also Leicester had it in the early game but couldve been advertised better

does anyone know if we’re having one at our next home game or on Tuesday at Sheffield Wednesday

Wednesday might do one if they won't have another home game on the 13th (or are pretty damn sure it won't happen). We'll probably do it at the Cup game against Mansfield, as the home game against Lincoln the next Saturday is odds on to be postponed.

Cambridge is on the Saturday marra. But it's too far for them.

I don't mean to sound disrespectful but, a lot of those doing the job are not exactly equipped physically either. Yes the job isn't just about stopping bother however there's a lot of younguns, probably students earning some pocket money, doing it for example. I would imagine they have no powers of arrest and would be reluctant to get involved anyway.
You have it spot on, most of the time its about keeping an eye on the crowd and reporting it to the control room, and the police to go and deal with, most are just young people earning very little money for a couple of hours work, i should know i used to the same job when i was a student.

I can see this game at Arsenal bringing some right star acts out mind.

Especially as some according to posters on here left NE @ 6am, what state were they in at kickoff

A life time ban  I bet half the people who are going on about how bad the younger generation are were causing absolute havoc at matches in the 80’s and 90’s but have since grown up, I’m sure these will too
I was there in he 70’s and 80’s and never had nor caused any bother. I saw some but always had the common decency to avoid it.

0% shocked by any of this, sadly.
Given what i used to do for a living, i am not shocked at all, i just hope the young girl isn't put off for life, however i expect she will be more careful next time if she goes near a game of football, maybe like a game with not that many fans attending, or a full organized event like an England game, mind saying that there were problems in the summer at the euros as well.

The Wednesday match being mid-week helps to dilute the idiots.

I was at the Euro final mate and it’s the worst experience I’ve ever had at football. f***ing awful day and you didn’t feel safe the second you got off the tube.

What happened yesterday was awful, but the final was next level stuff. Truly appalling on so many levels
