The Disney / FB argument makes no sense. They are investments to make money, no-one notices that. Buying a EPL team is all about getting positive media attention. Sportwashing. Its nothing to do with making money.
I am perpetually calling them out on Twitter for this but it washes overs them. Right now PIF could hold shares in <insert most left wing company with traded shares> and you would have no way of knowing. In fact if they sold between quarters it would never be official reported.

If the Saudis were footballing people or even had footballing people involved and advising them then the manager situation would have been sorted in principle well before the actual takeover date. The fact that this is still ongoing just shows to me that they and the people involved don't actually know anything about the game and it really is just a vehicle for their sportwashing. This has great potential to turn out really bad for them.
Rightly or wrongly Sd sacked Chris Coleman immediately they took over.
This is by no means a post supporting him. More a comparison, in that even he, sacked and replaced a manager quickly.
Yet the richest owners and Amanda are fiddling while the team burns.
