The Mag ran a poll the other day where two thirds of them wanted the stadium name changed in exchange for massive money.

I have seen clubs ruined by financial mismanagement before. This is the first time I can recall thinking that a club has been utterly destroyed by the stupidity of its supporters.

They are now nothing more than a propaganda outlet for KSA. Things like that aren't ever going to go away for as long as PIF are in charge. This is what they are now.

From one point of view, the culture clash makes the whole thing look very unstable, although whether that might amount to anything materially, I don't know. I saw loads of Saudi accounts pointing to photos of mags holding the Saudi Arabia flag at the Spurs game and saying that they hoped the mags would convert. Unlikely, I suspect. Although with the rate of brainwashing we've seen so far I suppose you can't rule anything out.
They want the Mags to convert to their ways rather than what Newcastle LGBT and Chi believe that the Saudis will change to their ways 😂 I know who my money is on
Saudi Arabia is simply using a football team to spread their tentacles into an area they couldn’t otherwise get into.

It'll be interesting to see how they calculate fair market value. A one size fits all approach surely can't be used, it's something that varies from club to club. Obviously clubs who've won trophies and play in the champions league will encourage bigger sponsorship deals than a newly promoted team.

IMO They need to come up with a formula that factors in things like previous sponsorship deals, European status, previous league position, attendances etc?

They'd have to go out to tender I imagine and the returns would have to be assessed against one another. If there was a clear disparity then it would mean the winning tender is not legit. However that said it would have to be compared to other clubs as several companies from KSA could submit crazy high bids and therefore the winner would not be such an anomaly.

Nail on the head

That move was welcomed by former Football Association race equality board chair Yunus Lunat, who told BBC Sport that the wearing of the clothing was "a positive embracement of Arabic, Islamic and Middle Eastern culture - for once."

What the actual fuck. This is one of many reasons why football is fucked when people in positions like that have opinions like this.

The Saudis were not doubt offended by it but have been forced to do a u turn FFS.

This whole circus freak show just gets more bizarre every day.

They've lost their club.
