Isn’t the fault of the fans ?!? They f***ing begged for it to happen

The takeover had to happen mate, it was for the good of the region and to avert the mental health crisis on tyneside caused by the first takeover collapsing.

The fact that hundreds if not thousands of them coordinated themselves for months on social media lobbying politicians and football administrators, and over 100,000 signed a petition - Well - they can't be held responsible for their actions can they...?

It's 100% their doing. The thing was dead last year until they started their bombardment tactics. Not that this gives them any credit for getting it pushed through. They should have been up in arms against it. The deflection tactics are the sign that they know they're wrong and the more they try to justify it the more people will blame them. Me thinks thow dost protesteth too much. Wankers.

As an afterthought, its not going very well is it?

I think anyone would be crazy to be associated with them because it could ruin careers and they will immediately be branded a terrorist sympathiser or mercenary. This will not end well.

Give over. If we had any power in this we would have got rid of Ashley a decade ago.

It might be comforting to create a fantasy whereby Newcastle fans pressure had anything to do with the sale going through, but the simple facts are;

Saudis wanted to buy a PL club to diversify financial interests and Sportswash their regime.
Ashley was willing to sell to them because it's a shit ton of money, and money up front.
The PL only stalled the bid until the piracy issue was resolved.

They will splurge millions or more on over priced transfer fees, inflated wages and still not make the in roads on the the top 6 that they hoped for. You can see it coming with FFP and limited sponsorship deals. It will be a merry go round of overpaid under performing ''megastars'' looking for a payday with their parasite agents flooding youtube compilation highlights of 22 year old French/African players and South American ''superstars in the making''

What a load of absolute drivel. Are you telling me if the prospective new owners had been the likes of that Mark Campbell who tried to buy us you lot would have been harassing MPs and having protest marches? No….the over the top push to get this through was because you wanted to be the richest club in the world. This has continued post takeover too with the outpouring of support for the Saudi state, wearing head-dresses, etc.

Well, you got what you wanted and now there is a backlash which your attention seeking tendencies don’t like because you need to be loved.

The most embarrassing set of supporters on the planet and everyone can see it. It’s been a fun few weeks so far and fingers crossed it continues to be an absolute shit show.

Premier League clubs to force through new rules that any related-party sponsorships have to be true market value (this is in wake of Saudi takeover of Newcastle):

Replies etc lol

eplying to

So if they was that bothered about the takeover money why did they let it happen?, why isn’t there a rule that owners aren’t allowed to invest more than £25M per season, the rest of the income comes from sponsorship which can not be more than £XM per year that levels it all out

Tell that to Keith of Newcastle Consortium Supporters and the bellends who signed the petition. They may not have been the reason it went through but they 100% wanted it to. To say it' had nowt to do with them is bollocks Fish. We want Saudi was another one. Why weren't there as many dissenting voices against the murdering bastards as there were calling Ashley a tyrant. Give ower man

It'll be interesting to see how they calculate fair market value. A one size fits all approach surely can't be used, it's something that varies from club to club. Obviously clubs who've won trophies and play in the champions league will encourage bigger sponsorship deals than a newly promoted team.

IMO They need to come up with a formula that factors in things like previous sponsorship deals, European status, previous league position, attendances etc?

You missed the bit where NUFC fans begged and pleaded for murderers to take them over then celebrated with street parties and tea towels on their heads when it happened.
