Everyone one else left in the League Cup wants to play us.

Without wanting to start an argument, who is going to sit up and take notice of us winning a league cup quarter final tie against a weakened premier league team?

There will definately be those who will….i do think that we still despite our fall from grace carry a lot of goodwill in the world of football and feel sure that many are watching and waiting for us to rise again and compete at the highest level in the UK at least

Possibly mate. I just don't think the wider football really care about how Sunderland are doing in the league cup.

If we got to the final, perhaps...

It is the easiest tie. Not condescending but factual sir.
On paper yes, but that's where complacency kicks in. A lot of the top teams don't take the LC seriously until they get to the semis, and usually play a weakened sides.

If we're drawn at home, we can give any of these a run for their money.

Being a realist what we like to think of ourselves and what we really are rarely have much in common.

I think I'd like to play us too ;)

Shocked at this mind. Thought they'd all want Liverpool.

They played a very weak team against Preston and were vulnerable on the break.

Klopp doesn’t seem to value this trophy so they’re there for someone to knock off.

With City out they might fancy a run at it now I guess

Seems like a lot of sides are taking it seriously after watching the highlights on Quest last night. Liverpool looked to be the only side to make major changes.

It's good that everyone wants to play us, hopefully, that brings about complacency to whoever we play.
We made 8 changes and I'm sure Brighton made about 7 too.

It is certainly a long way bottom of our priorities. I'd never turn down silverware but the League Cup is not something the club or fans seem overly bothered about this season.

Not sure of the competition but didn’t Spurs get within a cats whisker of being knocked out by a non league club.
If we’re in we should believe .
HTL
Sheff Utd give Spurs a scare a few years ago in the LC semi final, they were L1 at the time.

Spurs played Marine in the FA Cup but battered them.

The fact we are two levels below all the other sides left in will definately create interest….it definately would if it were say Cheltenham or Shrewsbury instead of us …..if we draw Chelsea for example you can be sure that supporters of Arsenal, West Ham, Leicester and Liverpool will all be wanting us to win

Can't blame them, I think we'll give any of them a game, unless we get Liverpool or Chelsea and they play their first team. This would have been a good cup run if we were still a Premier League club, fantastic as a L1 club.
Liverpool don't by any stretch of the imagination
