Because I support Sunderland, I’d have not wanted us to get a third tier team in the quarter final when we were in the premier league . It would’ve been bloody thpical of us to get beat when on paper we should have pissed it. Hopefully whoever we get play a weaken team and we put their knob head fans gas at a peep. Doubt it like but whatever happens, a quarter final is a tremendous achievement and we did it without being funded by a despotic regime who order hits on journalists..
 
Well, this is a new extreme for finding something to be upset about - even for the ultra-sensitive folk on the SMB. Fans of the teams currently in positions 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, 10 and 12 in the Premier League see the team currently sitting 4th in League One as the easiest draw in the next round. How f***ing dare they be so f***ing condescending!!!!

WOW. So if we were in the top 12 of the Premier League you would prefer that we were drawn against another team in the top 12 of the Premier League rather than a side in L1 in case we lost? Because we’re Sunderland? Astonishing.

Aye because we’re the masters of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. I was still shitting myself when we were 3 nil up against Everton with 10 minutes to go when we relegated the mags. 40 odd years of supporting us has ruined me :D
 
I’d have been over the moon if we got a league one club in a cup quarter final when we were in the PL mind.

So if the league positions of Brentford and ourselves were reversed, you’d prefer to play either Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs, West Ham, Leicester or Arsenal than play L1 Brentford? Because we are Sunderland and we’re more likely to lose? Out of interest how many times have we lost to a 3rd tier club when we’ve been in the top tier, and how many of those times we were in the top 12?

To be fair, you’re the one that tried to justify your comment by saying you were bricking it when 3-0 up against Everton. Really, if you can’t enjoy being 3-0 in a game that winning would relegate your bitter rivals then you should give up, because you’re taking things way too seriously!
 
I’d want to play us. We played well against QPR but utterly shite against Charlton. Reality is, we are somewhere in between.

We haven’t turned into Real Madrid 2014 because we beat QPR on pens.
