Suffering :lol::lol::lol::lol:

It's all very well mentioning the 100,000 Yemeni dead as a direct result of over 20000 airstrikes by their owner - but I think we can all agree their "suffering" pales into insignificance next to the suffering endured by the mags who were openly weeping on twitter this year about "Tynesides mental health crisis" because the first takeover attempt wasn't completed...

The obsessiveness to defend these owners in the hope they’ll spend money for a better chance at a trophy is scary.

It's like the research into conspiracy theories being played out before our eyes in real time.

Once people argue with their "emotional response" and not their "logical thoughts" about something?
Their belief becomes hard wired, and the more you argue with them - however logically - the more they believe they're somehow "right".

The really telling thing is how few will actually debate the issues, because almost every response you see is a deflection from the truth.

The more people argue with them, they more they believe its "jealousy".

It's fascinating (and scary) to watch.

The epitome of sportswashing. The Saudis knew exactly what they were doing, picking them.
Who needs to hire thousands of people on social media when you have those dafties on tap?

Good post.
They are developing into a cult. It was fascinating watching Trumpism unfold in the US. They have their own media sources, a belief that the world is against them and a burgeoning sense of entitlement. A seige mentality and a form of mass brainwashing is taking place.
There are definite comparisons to Trumpism with the narcissism being the entitlement, and the elitism of "you are not one of us, so therefore you "divvent understand". The leader, MBS is comparable to Trump as they will happily turn a blind eye to what he is as long as he achieves their goal.
He is seen as their saviour, but in reality cares only for himself, like Trump
They seem unable to be objective about it and readily embrace the "alternative facts" that are put in front of them, or spun by people with an agenda.
It is incredible watching it happen.

If - and I know it’s far from certain - it all goes tits up it will be fascinating to watch the reactions.
I guess you will get the “big 6 conspiracy” stuff but I wonder how many will claim that they were always against a fascist regime owning their club.
