I think we would have done......and I would use the excuse that we are trying to bleed every penny out of that regime in funding transfers, infrastructure for the city etc.

But then again I'm morally bankrupt as far as football is concerned

What's Beckham done?
The new face of Qatar.
£15m per year.

If Cressida is looking into it, the Palace fans can rest easy. Then again going after people draping flag at a match may be easier than confronting the real issue.

If she gets political pressure to act she will, as this the only reason she has been allowed to fail upwards.

You can glue yourself to motorway and plod will make you a nice cuppa tea.
Hold up a banner telling the truth and they're all over you like a rash.
The Met are a joke now.
Has anyone been prosecuted ? It’s an investigation which they are duty bound to conduct . There will be no further action as there is no offence .

It's not a deflection at all. I actually applaud the Palace fans for taking a stance. Especially for challenging the PL who we all know are corrupt as fuck and who we (newcastle fans) have fought against hard to highlight this. I just think fans need to be careful because otherwise this may just continue to stoke the race baiting that already goes on in pockets of all supporters. We already have emboldened fans on here being racist and having posts deleted, I don't think we need to give anyone the excuse to spew their hatred in this manner.
Hmmm it’s not race-baiting though is it because as has been pointed out the message of the banner is pretty clear and you are wilfully misinterpreting it.

This is quite clearly not a racial issue as the offences listed on that list in the banner have victims and those victims are also Arabic so race literally doesn’t come into it.

You are deflecting and it’s insulting our intelligence frankly.

The fact the female and LGBTQ+ element of your support haven’t protested and boycotted speaks to how utterly deluded you all are. There’s a difference between delusion and passion and the fact you can’t en mass boycott the club in solidarity to gay people and women who are victims of the regime is troubling.

if same thing happened with SAFC I would be mortified and ashamed and would walk away and support a non-league team.

I bet if people with Geordie accents were sentenced to death in Saudi Arabia it’d be more of any issue for you….

Just clear up one very simple question…

if MSD visited SJP would you shake his hand?

The reporting of the Palace banner is a headline story on the main BBC news page:

Newcastle takeover: Police investigate Crystal Palace fans' banner criticising Saudi Arabian deal

The headline doesn’t do the piece justice as the actual content is really just reiterating the Saudis’ atrocities. The Mags are going to feel victimised again.

Mahs on twitter saying however that PIF are completely independent from Saudi govt....then why did the finance minister for Saudi do an interview about the club? Of course its not independent.
They like coming out with that twitter is partly owned by Saudis... probably a 0.2% investment or something 😂
