Not racist, Saudi says so:

“Newcastle released a statement during the first half of the match at Palace, backtracking on the request earlier in the week for supporters in tribute to their new owners, adding: “Those who wish to support the club by wearing appropriate culturally inspired clothing should feel free to do so as they see fit. We are inclusive to all.”

Culturally inspired :) Now, about the black and white minstrels………..
“Inclusive to all”……….. :)
The sf gay look will go down well in new geordie Arabia

But I'm not, you are all just too blinded with jealousy/rage to see it.

The van in which it CLEARLY depicted MBS was 100% fine and correct. He's guilty, he is the person that ordered the killing of Khasoggi amongst other awful human rights violations. That was targeted at the right people and for the right reasons.

This accuses a man who literally just runs the investment fund of doing those things and being that person. He is not. That's why I'm saying we need to be careful not to racially profile other Saudi's and paint them all the same. It's nonsense and will lead to an increase in racial intolerance.

Whos the chairman of PIF mate?

Looks more like it’s highlighting that the chairman of PIF has something to do with the atrocities listed. Strange that considering the PL claim that he’s totally separate from the absolute ruler of the state.

Might be just me, but I can’t see any reference to all Saudi’s on that banner.
The person in charge of PIF is

Yasir Al-Rumayyan.

We should be targeting MBS and his rulership not people that just work as part of the businesses run out of KSA.

Please do not think for one instance I am trying to suggest people do not protest against KSA. I'm not, at all.

The message just needs to be very clear. Otherwise it will just spur on the knuckledraggers to be racist.

That’s bollocks. They’ve seen that banner and said sod it.

I don't think anyone is stopping people from criticising any brutal regime. The 'facts' whether we like it or not are that the EPL agreed that PIF is separate to the state. However much we disagree and all know it isn't, that's the 'fact'.

This banner, therefore implies that all people from Saudi Arabia are guilty of these crimes and that is discriminatory and racist - they aren't.

This takeover is already spreading hatred. One fella on a thread on here earlier stated he hated all Arabs or words even worse but to that effect which was removed.
I didn’t get that it implied that all Saudi’s are guilty at all. The person wielding the sword has ‘PIF’ clearly next to him. The words on the banner are true in my eyes. Whether the Premier League agreed that PIF is “separate from the State” is immaterial. Simply because they ARE very much tied to the State.
Sorry MIP….I normally find you ok, but I have to disagree with you on your views on this banner.

absolutely ludicrous that we’ve got people defending the Saudis human rights abuses to the point they’re getting our police involved
If the truth is offensive
