Part of the reason he didn't get a chance from the start was that he had previously managed little old Sunderland, so how come someone who had managed such a small, insignificant club be fit for purpose to manage the mighty Newcastle United?

That may have been the case for some supporters, not me, I didn't want him because he's a poor manager, a downward step from what we had and have had over the years, and we've had some shite, he was the worst of the lot....

I don't care where he had managed before, Sunderland, Birmingham, Hull, he just isn't a good manager....

I doubt Roman obtained his wealth without assistance, and real assistance, from Putin's regime. If you believe that is not a murderous, terrorism sponsoring state then you are daft.
City are owned by a state not as bad as Saudi but bad enough.
Might point is, as I know you know, why now. Will Man Utd and Chelsea be in a state of uproar if the Saudi'd announced they intend to follow the Ashley model of saw investment..... I seriously doubt it.
They are afraid there is 1 fewer seat at the table soon, which I personally doubt. They do not give a shit about the source of the wealth just whether it challenges their position in the queue for handouts.
City are NOT owned by a state, as much as you would love it to be true. Abramovich might be a bit of a shit but he wasn't responsible for the Salisbury poisonings. 2/10, must try harder.

See my earlier post. City are connected but the lines are much less clear. You are owned by a fund who's Chairman is the ruler of the country with a GDP of 700bn USD. The ruler is an absolute monarch who can do whatever he wishes.

Keep clutching.

There's a very real behavioural line. It's called executing people because they have the "wrong" sexuality, extra-judicial murder, and war crimes.
So there is a behavioural line. Finally an answer. Thank you!
Abu Dhabi, for example, outlawing homosexuality does not cross it. As long as the line is clear then nobody can have an issue.
I keep repeating that I do not agree with sale, and do no support it. What I struggling to understand is if the likes of Man Utd and Chelsea would be up in arms if our investors had less money. I doubt it.

The question I am asking is why now?
Why not when Roman came to Chelsea?
Why not when Abu Dhabi bought City?
Why now?
People did when Abramovitch bought Chelsea and they did when Mansour bought City, the fact is there wasn’t enough opposition at the time

More and more overseas owners have snapped up sports franchises for their own purposes and more and more people have wondered when the world’s media will take notice and say Enough

Thanks to Newcastle United Football Club we now know the answer 😎

Not at all squire. I am totally against the sale.
I am not arguing the validity of the owners I am questioning why the likes of Chelsea & Man United are now so virtuous.
Would they be so if the Saudi money held no potential challenge to their Champions League money?

Take away Rafas games in the championship after spending £55m with what was already best squad in league, then the records are not too far apart.
Its not like, no where near, take 29 wins from Rafas record drops him from 49% win rate to near Bruces 37% win rate....suggest you check your maths....

Are you also going to take away Bruces seasons in the championship, 3-4 years if I recall correctly....imagine what his win percnetage would be then....

Surely he’s just comparing their records as Newcastle manager? Bruce never managed you in the Championship.

How in fucks name is that Sportswashing?
Repeating the same bollocks does not make it true.
I asked if there is a moral line. After a few responses ,along usual BS lines, I got a response that indicated there is.
Forget the SAFC / NUFC allegiance for a second. How bad is too bad is the question and is really bad, and really rich, worse than really bad?
I suspect it is and that is the reason some clubs are throwing toys from prmas.

Id say murdering someone is a fairly simple and good line to start with, mainly because it's nothing to do with politics people can be against gays if they like that's how freedom works plenty of people in the UK don't agree with it but that doesn't mean you're allowed to throw them off buildings.

Or kill journalists
