They’ve conceded the most goals in the premier league, and apparently their top target is a bloke who in his five seasons in the premier league managing Bournemouth, presided over a team who conceded at least 60 goals every season. They need someone to tighten them up fundamentally, Howe would be an hilarious appointment, at Burnley he did a terrible job too. Some managers are just a fit with one club.

They need a personality, a character. Would be an odd appointment imo. Cheap one too.

If the main aim, which is widely believed to be Sportwashhing, i.e. showing the Saudi Regime in a more acceptable way to the western world, then the Jawdee faithful, with their antics at the weekend have probably screwed that up for them already.
Now they may have a secondary mission which we are unaware of, in which case they may persevere with this.
I honestly believe that they will already have serious misgivings about getting involved in this, if all they are going to get is negative press and negative attention.
This is not going to end well for them, and I for one cannot wait to see what unfolds here.
It is truly a comical phenomenon that only that lot up the road could make the Saudis uneasy about how people might perceive them.

Unfortunately the mags takeover will affect us massively in the coming years, in terms of support. The mags will gain lots of support in the in-between areas and some from our catchment area too. I think it's a disaster for us. Especially if they start winning trophies.
If anyone chooses the mags rather than us they are welcome to them. f***ing tea towel nonces.

I wonder if the PL are as pissed off as everyone else about this takeover? They hid behind piracy and separation thinking that would be the end of it so they didn't have to get into the murky world of human rights and Khashoggi but now they have been forced to put this through by the PM they could be furious at how this makes them look and what this may do to their 'brand'.
They will be incandescent I would imagine. They are a little to blame in my opinion. How long have folk been asking questions about the fit & proper test?
They should have made it fit for purpose. Pointless changing it now. Horse hath bolted I am afraid.

But they can only fit a limited number of people in the ground. It could encourage more to actually attend our games.

As funny as it would be, I’d be amazed if that stands up legally. Interesting times.

All football's problem come from treating it as a normal business subject to normal competition rules. The essence of a good sporting competition is as flat a playing field as possible in terms of resources available to each competitor. The PL is already horribly unbalanced in this regard, and giving clubs full rein on bogus/inflated sponsorship deals would only start a destructive arms race. There's a fundamental disconnect between business/economic competitiveness and sporting competitiveness. This is widely expected to be something that any future independent regulator will look at. Also, to allow one or two clubs to use "sponsorship" opportunities unavailable to the majority is itself anti-competitive from the point of view of the rest, which are obliged to rely on third party deals.

Watch out for tighter restrictions on allowable owner inputs under FFP to try to ensure clubs operate as far as possible within self-generated revenue.

In 1995 ish the difference between the clubs couldn't have been greater.
The stadium, team, profile etc. We were playing at a falling down stadium infront of 15000, they were on the up. (Still won nowt)
5 years later we were getting 48000 in a new stadium and having out best period in 50 years.
Nobody changes sides, if they are successful they will pick up some of worst type of fan, they are welcome to them.

Look mate you're doing it all wrong.

Most "undercover mags" build up a posting history on other forums talking about non-football stuff.
Then they start to dip their toes in with the odd comment.

You've just gone "balls deep" straight away.

1/10.

Get a new log in and be patient and try harder.
