But I think there are some (very vocal) fans who have it in their heads that this is "their moment" and the money is about to come flooding in and trips to Europe in a year or two. I think they are going to be disappointed frankly.

January will be huge. I think you have 10 games till the transfer window opens. If you are deep in the relegation zone when that happens, you will struggle to get the players you need (and you need a few!), and if you go down, the mood will turn on the ownership I suspect for "not investing in January". A season in the Championship puts the project back a year. I think you will stop up, buts not a given thanks to the start you have made.

What happens then is anyones guess? I'd expect money to be made available to get you back up, but if the Saudi's have invested for "sportswashing" thats going to be harder to do in the Championship, with a year of much reduced publicity and TV exposure. If they've invested for financial returns, they wont be throwing money at it, which is where the managerial appointments and scouting network will come into it. We don't know the motives, we dont know who controls the money or the budgets involved.

A season in the championship won’t put the plan back a year mate, as they will need a brand new one. The reality is; they will incur losses in the championship and that will impact future spending.

I must admit I was shocked at how bad they were on Sunday, but the right manager - along with two new players in Jan - should keep them afloat.

It was another symbol of his incompetence. He didn't use any of the advertising revenue streams open to him and complained we couldn't compete with Brentford whilst plastering his shit everywhere free of charge.

If he had paid going rate for it, very few would have cared.

I think a lot of the "lesser" teams are going to raise their game against the scum making it very hard to get out of that bottom 3. We've just seen that the home crowd of 50000 screaming Geordies didn't help them so it will be interesting to see how the team handle the vitriol that will be thrown their way in away games.... here's hoping🤣
