One is imitating a people by the colour of their skin, one by their traditional clothes.

Stag-dos wearing lederhosen aren't offending Germans, football fans wearing berets and striped t-shirts aren't offending the French, a few morons wearing headscarves are not offending the Saudis.

I've been in Berlin, and seen the reaction of Germans there to them. It does offend them.

Fair enough, wish more of your fans had that attitude tbh (and I'm well aware that we'd also have people fawning over them if they bought us, it's just a depressing indictment of modern football, and probably society at large). Considering the amount of (rightly) negative posts about the takeover at least you've handled yourself well on this thread. Hope it all goes to shit, but if it doesn't then I hope the decent mags like yourself enjoy the ride whilst continuing to remain critical of those in charge

But on toontastic he was discussing how they can get around FFP and spend as much money as possible

How do you know they weren’t offending Saudis ? They are a completely different culture and not a tolerant one at that !! And it wasn’t just a few morons
To be honest, some may be offended, some may not. But I doubt random sunderland fans on here can speak on behalf of the Saudis that were watching, or the ones who own the club. Well, unless they've an ulterior motive like, Oh... I dunno, being wrapped up in football tribalism?

Cool, I've been in Munich and seen their reaction to lads in lederhosen, and have German friends and it didn't/doesn't offend them. So I guess we're in that awkward position where some people may be offended by something and some people aren't.

Your fellow Sunderland fans assertion that they will definitely be offended, to the point they scale back their plans to use my club as a Sportswashing vehicle is, however, silly.

Am I? I think I was saying that the current rules means that the club could, conceivably spend around £200m without breaking FFP.

Not the post I saw, I'm not going back to search for it now, you posted it sometime last week not long after the takeover. It didn't strike me as someone that was bothered where the money was coming from, but more someone that was only bothered about the new owners splashing the cash and lots of it.

she didnt..the newspaper got that wrong..
but again, if she had doen that, it would be a lot shrewder than using her own money...
why? firstly its more tax efficient for when she goes to sell..
secondly..if the interest rate was low enough,..she could invest the same money in something that makes cash now..at a higher interest rate than she owes ashley..

so lets say..she owes ashley 3 per cent a year..?
she invests in a trust which pasys 4.5 per cent a year..
she uses that 4.5 per cent to pay ashley his 3..and keeps the 1.5 per cent a year for doing nowt...her money is therefore working twice for her..once to own newcastle and once to make her 1.5 per cent..
thats how rich people do it..
borrowing money is not a sign they dont have any when rich people do it..
If I owe you £3O it’s my worry. If I owe you £30M it’s your worry.

I can talk about the realities of the financial situation and hold the owners in contempt.

Are you doing the latter on your own messageboard?
It's been covered, everyone's pretty much in agreement so there's little point in repeating myself.

On here I see the same questions I've answered 100 times, but not everybody asking has seen my opinion so I answer them again. Because Momma Fish raised me to be polite.
