Disgusting, how can you get to the above from this:

"Is he suggesting that there is some way in which Mr Khashoggi could have met his death in the embassy that would be acceptable to him, and will he accept that whatever the result of the investigation, responsibility for the murder must lie with the autocratic ruler of what has now been shown to be a murderous state? "

The worst hypocrite you could find ! And what f***ing wonderful atmosphere ? It was the usual morgue and booing !!
Honestly they even have to hype themselves about how great they are !! Although the media did a lot of that yesterday 🤮

They know exactly what they've bought. They've bought a fantastic football club in a fantastic city. A one club city..
They also know the squad. Stavely and co are not stupid. They know it needs a massive overhaul to get anywhere near the set up of the elite clubs.

It may not. Only time will tell on that.
However it's certainly looking like it will fare much better than what Mike Ashley could offer it and like it or not, the overall feel good factor is returning which can only be good for the restructuring of the club and city.
Ashley doesn't order the castration of homosexuals, nor does he rape and torture anyone who opposes him.

He doesnt kill anyone as his wife waits outside one of his sports direct shops either.

You are gonna say you liked Salman and think the evil bastards atrocities are made up aren't you.

Conte turned down nearly £20m a season with Spurs, so the mags will be looking at c£25m a season to encourage him to come up north
I think they'll need someone to run the football side of things before they appoint a manager. The fella who has been installed as chairman already sits on the board of 4 companies and lives in the US. I can't see him having the time on his hands to get involved too heavily.

A fantastic city? It's a decent city, which is way over-rated by the people that live there. I don't think there's many worthwhile commercial opportunities to be had in Newcastle tbh. They've likely bought the club to simply compete with Qatar/Dubai and attempt to improve their image. The only ones that will be interested in investing in the city will be the Reuben brothers, who already do that anyhow.

We're talking about a fund worth 300bn, why would they mess about investing in a city like Newcastle when they can be investing in places like London, NY, Berlin, Paris, Shanghai etc. It won't offer the returns they want and they won't want to lose money investing in a city in the NE that they have no real affinity to.

Why when naming so called good managers to take over at Newcastle did you mention 2 people that put together relegated teams anyway?

Aye excellent choice!

Their squad is absolutely shit man and leaking goals for fun. They're fucked.
Are you saying that Howe didn't do a great job overall at Bournemouth and Wilder the same at SU ??
Don't get me wrong, if they appoint either of the 5 (not including Conte in the 5) mentioned, I would be relieved. Just hope Gerrard doesn't fancy it before he takes over Liverpool in 3/4 years time.

I thought the plane was canny

fair play to them for organising it

I don’t know the ins and outs of what’s going on (I know they sold a few key players, hence struggling this season)

seeing as though the definition of “long suffering” is consistently finishing half way up the premier league theses days………

And all this bs on twitter etc. - they have read it somewhere and trot it out. I was updating some spreadsheets on SWF's this morning from Bloomberg so I share the PIF highlights.

1. They were early investors in Uber so Uber has received direct investment from PiF;
2. Current equity investments are Automatic Data Processing, Activision, Carnival Cruises, Coupang, EA games, Compute Health, Live Nation, Multiplan, Novagold Resources, Take Two interactive, Uber, Utilities select. Uber asdide none of those companies have received cash from PIF, instead the prior shareholders did. Recall the graphic going around Twitter listing other companies such as Facebook? They had a brief flirtation with those in summer 2020.
3. All of those US equities total 14.7bn.
4. They own around 1.2% of the entire market cap of the Saudi Stock Market (MV = 10.408Tn) with 17 investments totaling 125.4bn owning 70% of Saudi Telecom,. 74.3% of Saudi Electricity, 67.18% of Saudi Arabian Mining Co.
5. I cannot reconcile the Daily Mail's 700bn. They are hardly paupers but the bulk is in Saudi equities, which is not a very deep market, so they would never be able to unwind those positions, and in physical investment projects. On paper they may be the richest owners in the world but in terms of liquid cash I don't see it though obviously they have a lot of assets to borrow against. Besides the separation stated surely precludes the diversion of FX reserves from the Saudi Monetary Agency to PIF? Reserves currently stand at USD 30,186m or 30bn.

I really think they have bent over for PIF only to receive a Burnley and Man Utd cast off. Mags - bookmark this and come back if I am wrong and they do buy Haaland, Mbappe etc.

She has realised the best way to get votes is to appeal to those knackers.

Shes not wrong but obviously doesn't care about what decent people think of her.

Except you f***ing did, you literally begged them to take you over so it’s no good playing them innocent victims now just own it.

This shit again?
You can't stop people buying publically traded stocks.

Ashley had every choice, and the fans were delighted about it

This is the undertone, Staveley has already said they'll only spend what they can in terms of FFP. They are there to make money not lose loads.

Ashley doesn't order the castration of homosexuals, nor does he rape and torture anyone who opposes him.
Irrelevant to the question.
He doesnt kill anyone as his wife waits outside one of his sports direct shops either.
Also irrelevant to the question.

The question being:
I'm Spartacus said:
I’m not sure if the Saudis are thinking this is brilliant or what the fuck have we just bought? The scenes yesterday were beyond cringeworthy. Grown men in Arab garb, waving Saudi flags and chanting they’re the richest club in the world. They’ve sold their souls to Satan and made a complete twat of themselves in the process. The entire country has just seen them for what they are.

I don’t think this will end well for them.

To which I replied, below.

Those “long suffering” fans deserve it more than anyone else though…
