Great in summer, not worth the trip across the river in winter. They should just accept that SR6 is the main route for drinking now
We don't want the southsiders up here man Boris, they need somewhere to fraternise. They should just accept that SR6 is the main route for drinking now
Typical fairweather southy, I bet you only come up for a wesh on airshow day!!!!Great in summer, not worth the trip across the river in winter.
I rarely make the trip across the river as SR6 is way betterGreat in summer, not worth the trip across the river in winter.
Just shite ain't it, alright of your local but buses and shit to sit indoors in the gloom isn't fun.Typical fairweather southy, I bet you only come up for a wesh on airshow day!!!!![]()
I wouldn't argue against it, but if you live south side it's not worth the trek in winter.I rarely make the trip across the river as SR6 is way better
Well you said provide what people want or go bust. Then you say you have no idea what people want.
Pure snobbery if you as me.
I go out every weekend, trying different places all the time. Pizza and Music at Proven People. Mexican fusion at Mexico 70. Fine food at Spent Grain. Cocktails and drinks at Cafe 1851. Sunniside area, Green terrace to Empire area. Loads of places to go and try, I've just scratched the surface
Yes and the new auditorium. That should bring some more business into the centreThe Fire Station pub/restaurant reopening again soon as well.
Nowt wrong with going to your local. Should be encouraged tbh as much as it should be encouraged to drink in Sunderland rather than Newcastle.Just shite ain't it, alright of your local but buses and shit to sit indoors in the gloom isn't fun.
Rather just go to my local this side in winter.

Spoons beer and drink is fine
however the food
just poor/average
prices are ok if you like a drink 3/5 times a week I would go to the ciu type clubs
No problem with valueI don't think anyone has claimed otherwise about the food. But if you're just after a burger & chips with a few pints before the match, it's decent value
The band in Victors last night were good but the acoustics are shite and you could barely make out the words.Enjoying drinking in the town Friday nights since things opened up again. Isis, Dun Cow for real ales and then down to Greens, Victor's to watch the live bands. Good with Victor's and Greens so close to each other if you don't like one of the bands you can go to the other.
He was very good you're right. That band were on in Victor's a couple of weeks ago and you could hear them perfectly. Maybe the band in Victor's last night just needed the sound turning up.The band in Victors last night were good but the acoustics are shite and you could barely make out the words.
The lad singing in Greens was top notch and you could make out every word he sang.
