NUFC/Sportwashing

This takeover has been planned since May 2019 and yet as we speak Bruce is still at the helm. If this was another Man City the appointments throughout the club would already have been made, with the new manager lined up for months.
man city retained the same manager for quite some time after they bought the club i think?

Steve bruce should never do a interview for/with sky sports ever again. The clamour from them for him to be sacked is shocking. A man is about to lose his job regardless of how much he will get pad or anything and they can't wait for it just to create a bit of news for them, each time I put it on they have that Keith downie outside the training ground pretending he knows what is happening.
Have they not put a countdown clock up yet? A little axe ( or sword ) next to it would get the heathens up the road tuning In in droves. Think of the advertising revenue.

There's a lot happened since i last checked this thread but what I'm gathering is Luke Edwards and the Mag fans have made arses of themselves again.
Edwards reminded them that their owners murdered a journalist. Mags issue very fatwah. Sums it up mate.
Just to be a bit serious for a moment.
Been going back and forth wondering about this, and reading some previous posts.
We've seen the nutters with their tea towels etc, and we've seen some reasonably sensible posts from yourself and others, even Mags in Peace occasionally.
Question:
How many of your lot are actually torn like you say, why are you on here trying to persuade us, and what response would you get on your own forum if you were making your case on there?
Because their own forums would rip them up for arsepaper. Just a rough guess.

They’re waiting for bin salmon to tell them what to do next. They’re scared to do anything in case it’s wrong and they end up top of the bill in chop chop square. Kween mandas been sidelined. The Saudis won’t talk to her as she’s a wifey.
I'm surprised you didn't put the emphasis on FATwaywaye ;)
Aye, remiss of me. I won’t forget next time. My life is a series of missed opportunities 🤣🤣

Why no Chronicle poll on this kind of question?

I'm having an ongoing Twitter spat at the moment with one of the daft bastards who refuses to believe that there are any human rights abuses in Saudi Arabia, because it "hasn't been proven". Just incredible.

The fact is that if we'd been bought by the KSA this board would be swarming with mags taking the moral high ground and slamming our fans for welcoming them.

We'd be subjected to endless essays about NUFC being "more than a klerb" and we were facilitating the sportswashing of a brutal dictatorship.

No way would they be saying "fair play, you've been bought out by one of the richest countries in the world and all of those accusations haven't been proven so it's all sour grapes from fans of other teams".

If they say they'd be okay with us being bought by them they're liars.

That seems to be the way. Clubs either wait to see how the current manager does or wait to see who is available. Some clubs will have their man lined up. What's odd about this is, they are going to sack Bruce but don't seem to have an idea who to replace him with. Even Donald had Ross lined up. He even had Hill, Cotton and Reid lined up. KLD was the same. There seems to be no one lined up for anything with the Mags. Staveley is the owner or chairwoman (I think) but needs permission from the Saudis before she can make a decision. Were not even sure who owns the club.

Got to hand it to the Saudis they've done their homework. They needed to pick a club with supporters who are thicker than mince and would be brain washed easily. They couldn't have picked any better
and are desparate to have money spent on them without giving a shit where it came from.

the achair is a lad in saidi..but staveley seems to be there day to day..i suspect they couldnt line people up because no one would commit until they knew the deal was approved.

The PL’s fairly abrupt about turn meant that the owners and decision makers, whoever they are, have been caught out when it comes to big calls on the football side.

I think you mean, the UK government putting pressure on the PL to allow Saudi Arabia to purchase a club and the greed of the Premier League and hypocrisy of the English FA meant there was a fairly abrupt turn......
