NUFC/Sportwashing

Status
Not open for further replies.

Just been to footy training with my 12yo daughter. One of the girls there said "you support Sunderland don't you...are you jealous that we're now the richest"? She said "nor coz they're dodgepots who chop peoples heads off". That's my girl.

They didn't believe her as had obviously not heard this amongst the jubilation at home. There is the sportswashing in full effect.

You wasted your time writing that all out because that wasn't at all what I was trying to do. I've explained it multiple times.

Is someone instantly an evil person because of their connections, was what I was querying. If that's the case, surely KLDs mam is also proper evil. That was all I was saying.

I was not trying to link Sunderland to Abu Dhabi in anyway.
So basically the point was our owners mother must be evill....you might want to look at msbs dad as well king salaman cos he shits on margerita in the being evil stakes aswell. Its a mental point your trying to make. The links are more and more irrelevant

Sick of this but you all buy petrol from the Saudis etc. So we all buy electric cars and shift the problem of human rights to the Congo and African children being used to mine lithium for car batteries (the saudis sell their oil to someone else anyway) We stop selling arms to the Saudis, so they buy arms from somewhere else and to the cost of uk jobs. Stop using Disney and just watch Amazon and be accused of paying a company who don't pay enough tax. Life is all about choice - we can opt not to watch Disney or not to use Uber (apparently the Saudis own less than one percent of the likes of Uber and Disney) appreciate that is a huge sum. However the typical nufc fan is stuck with their football club, like us with SAFC but the difference is (if we were owned by KSA) I would be asking our fans not to wear tea towels, not to fly the Saudi flag not to wear masks of MSB - go and support the team. I hope on Sunday, the landfill is flying Yemeni flags, rainbows, Amnesty international banners but I doubt it. They are so focused on being champions of the world they are selling their souls - not all but it would seem the majority if you believe the Chronic. That mp woman is terrible, instead of telling the fans to back their team but let the Saudis know the club won't be used for washing the owners hands she instead tells the world how wonderful it is and deflects any criticism by a bit of whataboutery and the 20 pound universal credit change and how terrible the UK government is - that is another discussion. Anyway if any nufc fans read this go and support your team but not the owners (I am still unsure what I would do if I was in your shoes but that is me) don't support a regime that hates women, the lgbtq community and anybody who dares to criticise - btw hope you get stuffed on sunday.

You usually come across as @ good poster but here you just need to drop it - enjoy the exciting transfer links and let us throw shit in the Newcastle direction. You have wasted a ton of energy. Loads of other decent threads to jump on.

alexa, show me an example of people changing their mind

What a tremendous self-tucking that is on there. The amount of negative media coverage against their support has been wonderful considering how fragile their collective ego is and having a constant need to be pandered to and told what a special club/fanbase they are.

The wider public both in football and beyond has seen their support expose themselves over the last week or so as a truly vile, cretinous bunch of scum on par with the anti-vax loons and the MAGA idiots.

No you absolute xxxxxxxxx I was arguing the exact opposite. I used it as an example that not all people that work in partnership or business with these types of people are automatically evil.

Good advice.

Im crying at this thread now. Its class

Spends hours whatabouting KLD with supposed links to Abu Dhabi.

Gets arse handed to him on a plate.

"Oh that's not the whatabouting I meant, I was whatabouting something almost like that but not quite..."

And every word typed is useless.
Every claim they've ever made about how "speshull" they are as supporters, how NUFC is "more than a klerb" - is dust.

Burned to a cinder in the rush to sell their soul and prostrate themselves before despots and fellate them for the rumour of signing Anthony Martial.

Has she ordered that journalists be chopped into pieces in an Embassy?

It was a direct quote conversation with @Black Cat Gypsy that others jumped into. It was always a discussion about whether someone is evil by association. See his Vince McMahon post.

Hilarious thread on here in response to the David Squires cartoon.

Scumbags really get offended when you point out what they are.

They are also pushing the ridiculous idea that it isn't right to criticise the fans. I think its absolutely vital to criticise them. The vast majority of them, from fans group spokesmen through to ordinary mags, have behaved absolutely disgracefully. Every one of the 100k of them who signed this appalling statement deserves criticism:

Many have been absolutely dishonest. When it first looked set to go through, they pretended that they did not have a say and that there was nothing they do about it. They pretended to be concerned about the many issues with the Saudis, but it was all out of their hands anyway.

Then when it looked to be off they organised militantly, signing petitions, bus trips to London, writing letters pressuring their cowardly MPs.

They wanted this specific takeover and they drove it through. If they had put a tenth of the energy into opposing it, it wouldn't have happened and another takeover would probably have gone ahead instead. The Saudi state would not have put a Propaganda campaign into action if they thought it was at risk of being derailed and backfiring.

Now they want to be seen as helpless overgrown babies again, powerless to affect anything, they claim its not fair to criticise them. Absolute bollocks.

Supposedly they are very 'conflicted'. More dishonesty. They are not conflicted enough to prevent themselves from taking part in the largest grassroots campaign in favour of a takeover of a football club there's ever been.

They've shown themselves to be what they are - absolute scum - and if they don't like other fans pointing that out then they are just going to have to find a way to get used to it.

He inherited it from his father, who died in 2009.

Now, let's cut through some of the crap you're talking.

LDC sold an indirect 45% stake to ADQ, a state-owned Aby Dhabi holding company. MaLD had previously controlled 96% through Akra Trust and remains non-executive chairman of LDC. KLD's personal involvement in this - zero. KLD's influence in this decision - zero. KLD's employment status in LDC - zero. Ergo, the involvement of Sunderland Ltd in this - zero. Ownership of Sunderland Ltd by ADQ 0%

Possibly embarrassing to KlD.

Going on - "blood money". Abu Dhabi has a far from unblemished human rights records. It's restrictive and homophobic - par for the course in an Islamic state. However, it does not execute homosexuals, and, to the best of my knowledge, has never commissioned an extra-judicial murder. It loses marks for giving financial support to some Yemeni groups, but, unlike Saudi. does not bomb Yemeni civilians. Not nice people, but not in the same league as KSA. all of which is utterly irrelevant in the context of Sunderland.

You're creating yet another deflection tactic, and using deliberate obfuscation, to try to link Sunderland to a transaction entered into by a entirely different member of the Louis-Dreyfus family. It's not working.

"Abu Dhabi has a far from unblemished human rights records. It's restrictive and homophobic."

Which hardly makes them evil.

Gay UK servicemen could still be jailed until 1994.

Fight terror, kiss your mate, go to jail.

Not evil, just archaic and misguided.

Chopping up a critic of that policy would be evil, journalist or not.
"But but but what about when Elaine was mean to Kramer on Seinfeld and pushed him so he fell over in the street?"
She also told George that hair was important to a woman.
