But it's hypocritical to get on your high horse over an innocent (granted poorly written) tweet and have a go at another journo when if anything, he's benefitted more from the Saudis personally - right?
I see you have liked it @Guinness Guzzler was it you mate? If so, please hoy the details my way and I will happily share them amongst fellow mags.
People can often by hypocritical. There are often little things which we do which are different and don't always follow our same line.

I may be wrong, but i assume that he just felt really let down by fellow journalists who praise MSB when MSB murdered someone in the same profession as him.
I can see how that would piss someone off and make him write a tweet which you deem hypocritical.

It's frankly embarrassing that out of the whole situation hypocricy is raising its head, and people trying to justify the sale.

If Holt praised MSB before he was wrong.
That should be gained from this. Not that he is anti them and anti journalists who praise them now.

He should probably know better than to assume that's what the tweet was about though. He did it for likes and in the end, it just made him look like a hypocritical bell.

If Downie was genuinely condoning the actions of those sorts of people and calling them cracking lads, do you think a company like Sky would just let it happen? Of course not.

Someone else has mentioned doing something around Khashoggi. I just suggested that more good would probably come from raising money for the crisis in Yemen. Genuinely believe a lot of mags would donate, and if loads of fans from all over donated to it not only would it show the Saudis that their morals aren't shared by football fans, it would also do a lot of good for people who desperately need help.

Alas, I'm not sure I fancy starting it. Whoever starts it would likely get a fair bit of abuse, if not from sportswashed mags then probably from Saudi troll farms. Also aware of how it will look if its a Sunderland fan that starts it. I wouldn't want it to be seen as some kind of a move, driven by jealousy, to make Newcastle fans look bad. Like I say, that shouldn't be an aim, they should feel they can join in and show that they'll keep supporting their club but don't agree with the regime any more than the rest of us. Personally I think it would be better if fans groups started it so there wasnt an individual as such for them to target. Get the FSA involved, get the message out through all the various supporters groups and try to make some good come of it
I get fully where you are coming from. I also think it would look a bit 'biting the hand that feeds' if it came from a Newcastle fan. Like you mentioned, I'm sure plenty would support it.

It would 100% happen. The trust (🤪) ran a poll and something like 98% want him gone. There would deff be a vocal element if he's still there.

I do think, they may give him his 1000th game though.
So clearly not much of a plan in place regarding the manager if want to give Bruce more games… good job you aren’t in the bottom 3 with the same players and manager then.

At least you can brag about being the “richest club in the world”

Of course he didn't think that.
But the hideous lack of noise from Downey and Caulkin and especially your sportswashed mp ChiOnwurah has obviously rattled him.
And I can understand why.

Ok - let’s do it. I’ll pM you later this week.
@Swindon On Tour - you got any contacts at your club we could work with?

Know a fair few and members of the Trust.
Unfortunately we still have our own Shit to still get through with Court cases and ownership issues. I just don’t think you would get the traction right now, notwithstanding doesn’t mean that the club would support the attributes of this takeover.

As much as I don't like the fact of their takeover it's time to suck it up and get on with it as its done now.
99.9% of our fans would have been happy if it was us.
