Correct. I will qualify that I work overseas however am in a fortunate position that I can pay for the expensive tickets when home, should I wish to attend.
As I stated earlier I am conflicted. I have been going since my teenage years during which we have mostly been shite however it has, in the main, be great. Weekends away with the lads, then my boys growing up, which many on here will empathise with.
The thought that, after 35+ years we might (probably will) win something excited my, and still does. On balance however I feel I will have to refrain from attending. There are more important things at stake. This is, on balance, a step too far. I do however realise that others will feel the same but continue to attend, not wish to miss out, feel they can support the team without the ownership.
They may be right. Each to their own.
Fair play, always had you down as one of the more sensible mags that get on here.

WTF has that got to do with anything.

I remember stating you were not a mag before and canny poster. Last couple months you've made me eat my words.

Seem to be sticking up a bit for these scum bastards a bit.

Why is that post sticking up for Newcastle? As if I am a "mag" ffs. Don't join the paranoid clique mate. Not only Newcastle fans sometimes disagree, and I can respect your opinion whilst disagreeing with it.

so if 20k dress up, then its only 45% who support it? haway man. most of those who adore your new masters wont dress up. we all know that. i'm expecting a fair slice though.
So what if literally nobody does (daft I know). What dos that prove?
If 1000's do then you will say '"told you there are scum".... if hardly anyone does will be be "***** are hiding it"?

Aye, and any clubs fans would have done exactly the same. But it was celebrating a UAE league title. My point is that sometimes football strangely comes before lifes principles.
It wasn't, it was mocking a team losing the title in the last minute, it didn't matter who won it, albeit it was funnier that it was their rivals. The mags are celebrating because of who has taken them over, it's a key difference.

Fair enough. I think its a bit hypocritical, but I see your point.

Man City is not owned by the UAE. It's 75% owned by an investment fund linked solely to Mansour; the name of the fund contains the words Abu Dhabi, which is only one of the seven emirates comprising the UAE. Mansour is not even head of state in Abu Dhabi, that would be Sheikh Khalifa, though Mansour is a cabinet member. And that's quite apart from the fact that all we were doing was ripping the piss out of the Man U fans who were celebrating prematurely.

Yeah but who is Abu Dhabi? Is he the king of the UAE?

It was mocking man u fans based on their behaviour at Sunderland and involved about 2000 in the South Stand. How often do you go to Scunthorpe games. Yes, I have an SC for Sunderland and travel to a few away games. The Poznan is done around the world probably originating at Lech Poznan. I know I said I'd never mention you again but ha'way man, you set yourself up for it.

Absolutely petrified to stand up for what they believe. It's almost like this was what their new owners wanted.
Its as if the Stonewall riots never happened. Imagine getting to a point in history where those of your sexuality are accepted more than ever before yet bowing down to these fuckers and their stone age practices for fear of not being branded a "proper Toon fan".
Sportswashing complete - they didn't have to even sign a single player.

You've done it loads.

Just to be clear. They are celebrating a set of ***** taking over. I wish nothing but pain and grief on every single one of them.
