I'd prefer Newcastle to achieve success from legitimate in house means.
However, so corrupt is the game of football today and has been for a fair time, I'm now at the stage where, what will be will be. If we are in a position to buy and get among the elite clubs then fine.

The playing field is not level and we've just became another pat of the lopsidedness of that playing field, potentially. Assuming we will be bankrolled.
I know that most of the fans of any club would be more than happy to be in the position we are in.
You'll get your small bunch of fans that'll resist, just like you do with anything controversial.

The main issue here is massive jealousy, in my honest opinion.
We as a club have gone through far worse than you whinging twats have ever experienced despite your constant ‘woe is us’ stance !
We now have a better looking future although probably a longer road a more honourable and decent one hopefully built on youth, enthusiasm and pride in the club. If we can get to the PL through this route and perhaps challenge again like we did in the past and maybe get to Wembley again !!
Am I jealous am I fuck ! I am not jealous of Man City or Chelsea so I’ve not aspired for my club to be like them ! You lot are jealous because you are not in that elite group. Your lot will still want to rub ‘little Sunderland’s’ noses in your sickening wallowing of new ownership. Newcastle fans want a quick fix because they haven’t got the will or appetite to do it like say Leeds, Leicester, West Ham et al ! There’s not a group of fans in the country who want to be Billy Big Bollox more than Newcastle, it’s all they crave

Aye, that's the assumption, and it's not wholly accurate.

It's delirium that met Ashley's departure, delirium at the potential seismic shift that the bank balance can bring to the club and either conflict or apathy at who's name is on the bank balance.
I think the thing that has shocked me is what I see as almost total lack of dissent about having such horrendous people owning you club. As I keep saying I'm out the country so maybe am missing up but there was far more dissent regarding Di Canio than this and that was very small beer.

Sky as an organisation want heavily criticised for promoting such a disgusting and barbaric regime never mind the mag twat Downie.
100%.

The criticism of FIFA over the World Cup in Russia and Qatar. UEFA and the Euros being held in Poland and Ukraine. They made special reports about corruption in those countries and telling fans not to travel.

Carragher and Neville telling foreign owners they aren't welcomed anymore. Fans need to have a say. The FA will need to put stricter protocols in place.

Now it's great that the Mags are being taken over by a tyrant who is using the club and English football to spread propaganda.

If PIF had of bought Valencia or Marseille they'd be the first to criticize.

We should never forget the ways these outrageously biased, ignorant, sycophantic local media pricks have gone on regarding this takeover, an absolute disgrace to humanity and their profession. Do they have no respect? #khashoggiwasajournalist

They have absolutely no spine and their hypocrisy is sickening. Love to bump into a few of them....
One of their colleagues was slaughtered like an animal and a local MP stood in the Houses of Parliament to complain about the previous owners ‘employment’ practices.
Yet they are all falling over themselves to say how wonderful this all is !!!

"Massive jealousy" ?

There isn't a day goes by that I don't wake up in the morning and think "no matter how shit my life is, at least I'm not a Newcastle fan".

Enjoy your blood money.

Absolutely but there's nothing I can do about it.
I'm a Newcastle fan not a politician.
That's fair enough but I do think you can do something about it. Do you forget the protests against Ashley. It's so easy for me to say but I would not go back if these people bought club - as I keep saying it's just bizarre that they are now Premier League owners. My surprise is the lack of outrage from your fans.

You have no idea what thread has had the most replies since August 8th? No idea at all? You don't think it might be this one? Funny how you call a photograph thread that has 12k replies since 2014 as 'truly remarkable', but 16k replies in a month, not noteworthy... I wonder how many replies the July NUFC had? Or the June NUFC thread had? I bet they weren't noteworthy either...
It could well be. Until recently my only contact with NUFC* threads has been to tidy them up in my role as mod.

To be honest I've no idea what point you're trying to make.

But there's no need to explain because to be even more honest I really couldn't give a flying f*ck.

Finally, I said the 2 million views of photo thread was truly remarkable.

If you're going to quote me, then quote me accurately.

The lack of intelligence in Mag posters is getting wearing. Human rights are not a usual subject in Pure Football, because they are not usually the subject of current discussion in football. Try looking in the politics forum, which is still part of SMB. Then click the button that says forums, and read the posting guidelines there. Jesus, it's like talking to a four year old.
Buddy, I don't think you really understand how this works, the burden of proof is on YOU, not me, if you disagree with a point I've made, it's your job to provide the countering evidence, not mine...

'Jesus, it's like talking to a four year old'...
But you have now so it does. You also continue to post. If we were irrelevant to you then you would do neither
I'm posting on a NUFC thread buddy, again, it doesn't...

Oof!

In the context of the film its an incredibly chilling scene for such a banal song.

I remember a right wing commentator posting it a few years ago (without insight) on Twitter and the MAGA crowd were loving it...

Right up to the point a Jewish politician appeared on the thread, and told him the song was actually a satire written by his gay Jewish uncle who had fled Germany before the war and had been "married" for decades to his other gay Jewish uncle.

But if you don't see it? - it flies right over your head.
First time I heard was on SAHB's Tomorrow Belongs To Me album when I was about 14. Thought it was a bit twee at the time, a year or so later I discovered it's real history and intent and only then began to realise the twists that blokes mind could take :). Unofficial anthem of the Hitler Youth iirc.

Depends where you look really. Caulkin was on Football Focus with a lad from True Faith and were saying quite plainly the Saudis are awful, certainly each of the Newcastle podcasts I listen say the same, there's plenty of criticism of the Saudis from the fans, and I'm sure more will come after the giddiness subsides.

Giddiness that follow the headlines "Ashley gone", "Newcastle now richest club on the planet", "Bruce to be sacked", to be clear.

There's no woe is me stance. Unless you just lump all for one and one for all into your equation.
We now have a better looking future although probably a longer road a more honourable and decent one hopefully built on youth, enthusiasm and pride in the club.
Hopefully you do. I have no issue with it.

Am I jealous am I fuck ! I am not jealous of Man City or Chelsea so I’ve not aspired for my club to be like them !

You may not be. But Chelsea isn't in the north east, nor is Man City or Liverpool or Man Utd....etc.
Close rivalry is a funny thing when there's a mixed feeling of fan mindset from the good the bad and the absolute bitter ugly.
This goes for both sides by the way and not just the north east.
You lot are jealous because you are not in that elite group.

Nahhh. I've been a fan for long enough and we've never really been in any elite group apart from a brief sniff and a few shirt pulls of the elites.
We were never really allowed, just like your club wasn't.
If we join them now it's only because we play on the same corrupt playing field. I'm under no illusions about that.

I'm actually shocked that a north east club is allowed. Maybe it won't be and we do crash and burn. Only time will tell.
Your lot will still want to rub ‘little Sunderland’s’ noses in your sickening wallowing of new ownership.

I have no issue with Sunderland except when we play in a match where I obviously want us to win or even thrash your team, just like your fans wish the same.
Newcastle fans want a quick fix because they haven’t got the will or appetite to do it like say Leeds, Leicester, West Ham et al !
I think full stadiums tell you a different story, to be fair.
There’s not a group of fans in the country who want to be Billy Big Bollox more than Newcastle, it’s all they crave
You mean trying to blow our own trumpets?
If you're getting slaughtered by others you have to look after yourselves.
Isn't that what fans do?

Do you agree with CIA that your new owner ordered the mutilation of the journalist.

Do you agree 15 of the 19 hijackers involved with 9/11 were Saudi nationals.

Do you agree that Saudi harboured Bin Laden and his family still reside there.

Do you agree Salman orders the castration of gays and stones women believed to be unfaithful

Do you agree he orders the torture of those who disagree with his policies.

Do you agree he orders the relentless bombing of Yemen , including a school bus.

All things the West despised and talked about when these issues occurred. Probably even you , though you possibly laughed .
Do you agree with the use of the Xinjiang internment camps being used by the Chinese government?
