I was thinking a while ago if - say - Donald Trump had took us over would I still go?
Basically I wouldn’t want to be a piece of what would be PR for him and I’m pretty sure I’d protest.
So, aye, same would go for Bin Salman - I would feel shit sitting in a stadium celebrating a goal to help a guy who has women jailed for wanting to drive and gays castrated and flogged in public. It would be on my mind all the way through the game!
I’d protest like fuck and watch Newton Aycliffe instead

There'll be no objections from any MPs or Councils. Had they (rightly) protested & knackered it then they'd have risked the Saudis going down the road to Leeds or Sheffield etc & then watching them potentially being top 4 with parallel big city investment.

Not saying that's right just saying that's where their heads will be at.

I can hand on heart say I don’t know how I’d react if it was us because it hasn’t happened.

But, I can also say hand on heart I’d hope my moral and social conscience would kick in and I’d stop going.

I think about what me dad would have thought/said his view were always “I don’t care what league we are in pet, I support Sunderland, not the league”

But, for a man of his generation he had very true beliefs about right and wrong when it came to human rights and equality so, I think he’d have really thought this was a step too far

Your owner got his armed forces to blow a school bus filled with children to pieces and killed nearly forty of them.

Your owner had a sixteen year old beheaded for attending a demonstration.

But yeah, top point with the seats.
That first paragraph, didn't know about that. Absolutely sickening.

Are you seriously comparing President Trump to the Saudis.

They have sold their souls and I’m horrified at the posts I’ve seen from people, especially women, who would ordinarily argue all day for equality, who are defending it. And hiding behind the well would you cancel this, would you stop buying that argument.
It’s not an argument J. It’s the most facile attempt at some kind of moral equivalence I've ever seen. You know I know it and so do they. That’s what makes it stomach churning. What @Grumpy Old Man described earlier is right. It’s sociopathic behaviour.

Definitely a gravy drinker this gadgee.

I’m sickened, I’m sickened at people I like and who are friends, who are Mags, rejecting their usual principles and doing mental gymnastics, to defend it.

It is what it is now. Let them crack on. I think it will be harder than they think to get what there needy little souls crave.
Agents Other clubs will be licking their lips at their new found wealth.
If the rest of premier league aren’t happy cue them paying eye watering fees for not a lot.
They’ll end up paying 40- 50 million for Lingard Barkley types, added to the north east tax to attract people (easier now for them granted)
City Chelsea, man United it’s not like these lads are skint
Having this wealth is one thing appointing the right people, managers etc recruiting correctly is another

As I said yesterday, if we protested we’d be portrayed among Mag fans and the media as “jealous petty lower league fans“

Im more interested as to why Newcastle fans, who protested and shouted at shops because their owner employed people on zero hours contracts, and didn’t spend what they wanted, aren’t protesting at a vile regime who think nothing of murdering anyone who disagrees with or goes against their ideology.
We all know the answer Janey

I wouldn't. Not so much Trump but definitely the middle east.

If Man U pipped them to the title again and MBS ordered Ole get dismembered and dropped in acid would the Mags still back him and say we were just jealous?
