As I said yesterday, if we protested we’d be portrayed among Mag fans and the media as “jealous petty lower league fans“

Im more interested as to why Newcastle fans, who protested and shouted at shops because their owner employed people on zero hours contracts, and didn’t spend what they wanted, aren’t protesting at a vile regime who think nothing of murdering anyone who disagrees with or goes against their ideology.
Agreed. The best protest against the Saudi regime would come from those who stand to "benefit" from their involvement. Similar to how the most powerful protests against the super league were from the big 6 club's supporters. They were getting a ticket to a perennial seat at the top table but they didn't want it. Some Huddersfield fans protesting wouldn't have had half the impact

Realistically I don't expect the mags to say they want the Saudis gone, but they could still make it known that they don't agree with the regime and don't want the (relatively) good name of their city and people associated with them. Even if they then go into the ground and support the team, it would send a powerful message. They won't do it though, and that's pretty sad

Caulkin doesn't appear to be a journalist any more, now resembles an excitable kid interning in PR for the people who murdered and dismembered one of his own profession.
I can’t pretend I’m not gutted at Caulkin’s stance over this. He never hid that he was a Mag, but always seemed to try and be reasonably fair and objective.
He interviewed me for an article and reported it exactly as I asked him to, he also was very generous in sponsoring me for various cancer raising events.
His attitude and response to this has hugely disappointed me

I was going to say that but I wasn’t sure on the council, but I’m sure they could be swayed. I heard a rumour they want the NE for green energy and go influence that, and airport would be too far but KP could happen, wouldn’t help the short term financial fair play though

They could put in more or less unlimited funds for capital spend (particularly on a stadium, where there's no profit and loss account. And, from their response to the takeover itself, you can be pretty sure the council will roll over for whatever the Saudis want. If there's an eco-consideration, there are probably still enough brownfield sites up towards Blaydon.

Pretty sure all the fields around here have been bought by builders.

Your owner got his armed forces to blow a school bus filled with children to pieces and killed nearly forty of them.

Your owner had a sixteen year old beheaded for attending a demonstration.

But yeah, top point with the seats.

It's a good job he "got the chop".
That hit him so far out of the park there'll be snow on his arse by the time he lands.

But you post highlights an interesting thing - whenever they try to take the piss or score points - ESPECIALLY if there's a moral / ethical element to the attack?

They will ALWAYS lose the argument because they've taken such an extreme position that they've ceded any moral authority to their argument.

It's a lesson they're going to learn a lot in the future.

They have sold their souls and I’m horrified at the posts I’ve seen from people, especially women, who would ordinarily argue all day for equality, who are defending it. And hiding behind the well would you cancel this, would you stop buying that argument.

When the local MP backs this takeover when she has previously slaughtered the Government over its stance on Saudi , you shouldn’t really be surprised by the levels of hypocrisy shown by anyone connected Newcaliphate United.

The current team is poo, they can change managers, but all the money in the world won’t allow them to sign players until January.
Im still of the view this won’t pan out the way they think it will
I can see us been in or around the relegation zone in January regardless as we have the same poor team and hard fixtures until January. Still fairly confident you will have to watch the mags in Europe regularly again like the good old days of 20 years ago
As for the grief Caulkin and Downie get, they are bound to favour Newcastle as we are the most high profile and exciting club to cover in the north east with there been no competition

I was thinking a while ago if - say - Donald Trump had took us over would I still go?
Basically I wouldn’t want to be a piece of what would be PR for him and I’m pretty sure I’d protest.
So, aye, same would go for Bin Salman - I would feel shit sitting in a stadium celebrating a goal to help a guy who has women jailed for wanting to drive and gays castrated and flogged in public. It would be on my mind all the way through the game!

The superiority complex you talk about is is only brne out of jealousy and hatred and it doesn't cover all Sunderland fans either.
When all's said and done we all have our sections of mindsets/groups, whether it be on football and sports or politics...etc.

I hark back to morals but that's basically subjective.
Killing kids ain't subjective tbf.

And your comment about a superiority complex confirms that very point..
