That's the worst sort of apologist flannel I've read.

There's a big difference between vocally registering your concern but supporting your club regardless and jumping up and down like morons outside SJP with tea towels on your head.

That said I literally haven't seen or heard a single mag, even those with supposed progressive political views, register any concern whatsoever.
Do you seriously think Newcastle fans, on the whole, condone atrocities?
They are fans of the club.

If this was Sunderland the ground would be swarming with fans jumping for joy and I would be jealous and envious.
Like I said: Morals are for cherry pickers when it comes to stuff like this.

This is what’s left of a school bus your new messiahs deliberately targeted in an air strike. At least 30 bairns were killed for the crime of being Yemeni and wanting to go to school. They knew that at least they’d be given something to eat and water to drink that the Saudi coalition hadn’t poisoned. There are other photos but they are way too graphic to be posted on here. This is what your owners do. This is what they are. This is who you sold your heritage to. This is what you want. So when you’re all dancing around like badly trained apes with tea towels wrapped around your nappers think on this. This is what you are now. Like it or not by campaigning for these animals to buy your club you are now a part of this. Oh and while I’m on, know this, your new owners despise and detest you more than we ever could in a zillion years. You are Kuffar.
But aye. I’m jealous.
you disgust me.
But Starbucks.

On the slightly worrying side for the mags, if the Saudis get enough negative press/abuse from the rest of the world on a weekly basis they may just say "fuck this" and up & leave.

The stuff with Disney and Uber etc is all under the radar.

The premier league is a massive 24/7 spotlight. They'll no longer be able to simply dismember any dissenters.

Anymore mags spouting sack the board need to be looking over their shoulders

Morals only come to the fore when jealousy rears its ugly head by opposing fans or people.
Reasoning can and does get made for a set of morals for one thing against another, depending on the severity of the issues being argued.
Newcastle fans would be using the exact same arguments against Sunderland if the situation was reversed. Why? Because the bitter rivalry with some and the seething jealousy with some would rear its ugly head and the old saying of " I wouldn't lower myself" would be cast out far and wide.

I can understand many people being outraged by the owners of Newcastle United but like I said, morals come to the fore as and when cherry picking is deemed necessary.

Most likely. When the bandwagon gets rolling and the seething issues get into full focus, Newcastle will be on the end of it and the fans who go to watch and also those who simply support the club in any way shape or form.

Every game we win will have blood on it.
Every trophy we win will have blood on it.
Fans will be akin to monsters because they chose to follow the club they grew up with and continue through thick and thin.
The new fans will be also despised for actually making that choice during this ownership.

So what do we all do?
Do we all walk away and go and choose another club or simply don't bother at all?

I hardly doubt many fans will be thinking about politics of countries if allowed to get on with simply being a fan of Newcastle United.

I'd also hazard a good guess that this same regime, had they taken over any other club outside of the usual rich clubs, would get the massive approval of the majority of fans of that club and would gain a massive amount worldwide if success came their way, in short order.

Morals only come to the fore when it suits, for many people.
You can chirp on about morals only coming into it when it suits as much as you want.

The facts are that your de facto owner intentionally starves kids, tortures his own people, has journalists dismembered, and that isn't even getting into the role they play in international terrorism. Thats nothing to do with our opinions, its just facts.

You can spend as much time as you want telling us we have faux morals or whatever. But I sit easy knowing that my club is not owned by one of the most barbaric regimes on earth.

The bulk of your support has been beyond desperate for this to happen. But whether you like it or not what your club now stands for has changed. Probably for good. And I suspect in the fullness of time quite a few of you will regret you were ever taken over by these scumbags.

You've had 2 years to voice your opposition to the regime. Why didn't you?

The Saudis understand the Clerb and the Geordies' willingness to suck up to tyrants in return for a number 9.

I wonder if they also understand Sunderland fans.
How can they understand Sunderland fans. They have no morals ,we do. We don't wreck our city centres when we get beat, don't punch horses, don't try to get games abandoned when getting beat. We also speak in a language othe people can understand. Money cannot buy class as proved by the new owners of NUFC.

Just seeing the post replying to the LGBT groups tweet, fuck me, these are the people that the mags are celebrating getting involved with their club

I admit, I'm jealous of the money, of the possible removal of any glass ceiling, but I wouldn't want the Saudi regime to buy Sunderland. Would piss myself if it all went to shit, they weren't actually arsed about winning the league and the mags just get a permanently stained reputation

If that's come from the Armed Forces Spurs fans, next week could be very interesting

Interesting isn’t it, Newcastle as a city wants to be seen as liberal and socialist.

The gravy guzzlers have just sold out on what their beliefs are meant to be as they think this is their golden ticket to being relevant again as a football club.

The rest of the country and football world can see how hallow this all really is.
Their city councillors and MPs are all on board with this. If some of them aren’t then they’re keeping quiet about it. Silence is consent in my eyes. It’s not just the club they’ve given away, it’s the whole city. Now they have their Jordy nayshun. Newcastle should be viewed as a separate entity to the rest of the north east from now on. Ostracised by the rest of the region. I for one don’t want to be viewed in the same light as those filthy vermin. I still have my soul, my working class roots, the principles my ancestors ingrained in me. I have my heritage and I’m proud of where I come from. They have none of those things. They’ve given them away to murderers and despots. And I hope they are going to send a big thank you to Boris Johnson and the Conservative party. Not to mention the corrupt PL.

I've repeatedly said on previous posts..
When the 1st takeover fell through the premier league were corrupt..mags travelling down to London to bang on premier league HQ windows,
Fast forward to now and the takeover was surprisingly passed very quickly!
Are they corrupt now??..I dont think so!!!
I await thier responses to see how they will justify it or spin it to suit.

Absolute joke the fans saying, 'what can we do about it now? Stop supporting'.

Conveniently forgetting they've soent 2 years protesting for it to happen and not care about human rights.

This.

They’ve spent years with the almost singular aim of hounding out an owner - protests, boycotts, shop-shouting galore.

Now, all of a sudden, “there’s nothing you can do about your owners!!”. Give over.

“Ultimately, we’re happy to turn a blind eye to the odd kidnap/dismemberment, a few beheadings, the occasional gay thrown off a building or woman being stoned to death, as long as our eleven strangers win at kicking a ball around a field against someone else’s eleven strangers kicking a ball around a field” doesn’t sound very good when you say it out loud. So you’ll hear all sorts of mental gymnastics over the coming months and years.
