I have a couple of gay friends and family members. They would be stoned to f***ing death under Saudi rule. The only thing that would put me off supporting the lads is if twats like these owned my club. I’d rather go to the grave seeing us win fuck all than be sponsored by these abhorrent twats for a few blood stained trophies.
The same thoughts have been with me since it went through. How could I look my lesbian and gay friends and family in the eyes knowing I support these.

Like I was saying last night & got a load of mag & gravy responses. Both Qatar & UAE have heavy penalties & death penalty in laws for gay sex.
Emirates or Etihad stadium anyone?
Seriously just saying that if people care that much then you need to get onto all of em.

Sorry if seb but if Sunderland ever make it back to the premier league what are thoughts on going to watch Sunderland away to the Mags? Treat it as another away game, go but fly an amnesty international flag or make some statement or boycott the game. If anything this takeover has made me a lot more aware of the Saudi treatment of women, the guy community or anybody that opposes the regime. While I would want to support the team I am struggling with the new owners of newcastle, not because it is newcastle but the whole human rights issue and the links to terrorism. I am just glad it isn't us and dont have to make a choice between supporting my team or owners with death on their hands (sure there are many newcastle fans who are thinking this but are remaining quiet), yes great to win trophies and sign fantastic players but at what cost and atm if I was offered a ticket to watch nufc v safc doubt I would go.
You're saying not because it's Newcastle, but on the other hand you've only become aware of the Saudi treatment of minority groups since their takeover?

By all means take the piss, there's plenty to aim at, but boycotting the game or attaching ourselves to new political causes off the back of their takeover is a ridiculous suggestion.

We go their and give them a good hiding, same as always.

He's a very outspoken character and thus not everyone's cup of tea but he's not afraid to tackle contriversial topics.

Plus he coined the title Jongleurs FC for the mags so he can do no wrong in my eyes.
Itinerant minstrels 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Barry is on form like
"There's a huge amount they can do. But we've all laughed at how half-arsed their protests have been in the past. If only they felt as strongly about a bone-saw murderer owning their club as they did about a payday loan company sponsoring their shirt."
I must say...Barry is a legend..I like him
