Does the Premier League care? Bird & Bird, a law firm operating for the Premier League, employed a number of experts to investigate whether there is indeed separation between PIF and the Saudi state. At least three of them concluded there was not, with one submitting Saudi government documents that described the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the ultimate beneficiary owner of PIF.
All three speak of having been ignored since July, when the Qatari chairman of beIN, the president of Paris Saint-Germain, Nasser al-Khelaifi, first had informal talks with PIF in Doha, a necessary step in breaking the impasse.

I hope it isn’t. I can’t express how much I want it to go belly up. Not because it’s the Mags, not because they are our rivals, but because of the way they’ve welcomed and openly celebrated these owning them.
Then you're a better person than I am, because I want it to go belly up for all of those reasons. But to be clear, they could have taken over any other club, including safc, and I'd still be calling them murderers...which they are

You wonder if this might be linked to the Euro League shambles. Allow big money into a club outside of the big 6?

Obviously those things contribute 😄 but the point was more I couldn’t give a shiny shit which team it was, I’d still be disgusted

I might be just trying to convince and kid meself but I’m still not certain it’ll go the way they think. They are already talking about 6 year plans. That doesn’t sound like instant investment and Champions League winners in the next year or so to me

We'll soon find out. Firstly the manager they get and secondly what players they are targeting

If it’s Howe, Gerrard for example, I’d say it‘ll be a bad sign in terms of investment. If they were determined to invest heavily, they’d be paying whatever it takes to appoint a World Class Manager

did City when they first had investment? It’s called a project for a reason.
