Secondly, I still don't expect us to spend heavily. It's an investment fund. Whatever they invest, they will be looking to recoup. I don't envisage it being a toy they spend a vast amount on.

Thirdly, my views on these things literally never changed so don't see how it can be viewed as an act.

I actually think they 100% would. If we had been taken over by wealthy Russians I imagine some nobheads would turn out dressed as Cossack dancers.

Haway man! Your new owner recently spent $450m on a painting. It's a vanity project no different from Man City's. Also, FFP will be completely meaningless as the premier league recognise the club owners as a separate entity from the rest of the country. Which means Saudi companies can sponsor you for billions and you can't be touched. It's farcical.

I don't think they will. Man City are owned by the Abu Dhabi state and they aren't particularly hated. NUFC are owned by the Saudi state and after the dust is settled no-one will be overly bothered as sad as that is. :(

There's not enough people care. I never thought this takeover would ever happen because I genuinely thought seperating was an even bigger factor than TV rights (how stupid am I? :lol:) Yet the second the TV rights issue was sorted in was done in two days. Its a hideous situation. Ive never known anything lie that Newcastle MP. A few years ago she was in the House of Commons incandescent with rage over the journalist murder and the Saudi state. Then she completely changes tack and does everything she can to have the same people running the football club of g=her constituency. And now its all done shes raising their human rights record. Unbelievable.

I'd still like a car of some sort.

I did just state someone with a clear plan for taking the club forward. I'm not sure those two have a clear plan for anything.
