I know what you mean but why should players be forced to play with murderous fascist sympathizers?
if a far-right, pro-torture, anti-gay team suddenly joined my five a side league I'd refuse to play them.
Fair point. I just think a lot of clubs are getting too big for their boots. They (a lot of them, and probably the ones complaining the loudest) wanted to fuck the whole league off and leave the rest of us to compete for a glorified championship. Wish it wasn't the mags, but don't have any sympathy for them finding out exactly why a super league is a bad idea, because when it doesn't exist there's always a chance for a club to come and take their place. We need financial controls in place so that it's done more organically like, but a lot of the clubs are lucky they're not facing massive fines and points deductions. I doubt they're complaining because they give a fuck about human rights, they're just scared they'll fall off the gravy train (no mag pun intended!). The day a shit club like Spurs become irrelevant again can't come soon enough tbh

Well its all coming out now isnt it

Absolute disgrace
Where is the surprise that politics influences football?

Again the remarkable thing is that Newcastle, was chosen for this. Especially after being rebuked wouldn’t you think the investment fund would have moved on to get Inter Milan or Leeds. Yet for some reason they were steadfast in their pursuit of Newcastle. What is so appealing about that transaction? That really is where the questions should be.

No shit

Can we have a Mag Amnesty thread so they don’t have to pretend to support SAFC on here?

*Not to be confused with Mag Amnesty International Thread
I have never pretended to be a Sunderland supporter. Find a thread where I have.

Not have I claimed to be a Newcastle supporter having come to the region from the Midlands.

By the big 6 I suppose you mean the two Manchester Clubs, the two North London clubs, Liverpool and Chelsea? I think Everton and Leicester already have them worried.

You seem to accept the natural predetermined hegemony of the league which is quite a depressing state of mind. There should be hope for all clubs to ascend, if not what is the point?

Were the big 4 quaking when Blackburn signed Mike Newell? I know Newcastle supporters who considered Brian Kilcline their most important signing of the 1990’s. They probably fit the definition of players you would sneer at but were pivotal to a better future that both clubs subsequently achieved.

I am not sure such spite is necessary. People should just support their clubs.
That’s a fair point. The list of players wasn’t a dig necessarily and wasnt spite either, more of a realistic set of players that may arrive in the short term. All good players too tbf. Anyone expecting the big names immediately walzting over the Tyne bridge will be left disappointed imo

To be fair, whilst the mags can fuck off, so can the other clubs. Why the fuck should the PL brief them early about a takeover? It should have fuck all to do with them. The PL do the test, if they're happy then through it goes. It's a f***ing joke that they've passed them as fit mind, but Liverpool and the likes expecting to be consulted can fuck off

I do agree with this like. It’s fuck all to do with the rest. Especially the “big 6” part of me hopes they start nicking their players just to piss them off.
