At the level they are playing at, a 200m war chest is huge.Let’s be honest, £200m isn’t that much of a war chest these days, Grealish at 100m puts everything into perspective, they are deluded and need a reality check, as well as lacking ambition. They will do what they always do and rinse the 200m on useless/mercenary/lazy French and African players then get relegated by the end of the season, then we will beat them twice in the championship. Joke of a club and fan base. Mostly glory supporters.
Why are you debating with this mag piece of shit he's pretended to support safc for years on hereThat's probably fair. That's the issue I've got, the criticism of Ashley followed by the silence around this takeover. As I've said earlier in the thread though, I can understand the mags getting carried away, it's the authorities that I think haven't done enough. I'm sure our fans would be similar if we got the same takeover, but that doesn't mean that criticism of their regime, and questioning whether they are suitable to be in our leagues is invalid or driven purely by jealousy. There are some mags who are equally unhappy with the move, albeit they aren't massively vocal about it on social media, and they obviously aren't jealous!

To Man City/Liverpool/Man Utd/Chelsea it's relatively small in relation to the level they are playing at.
If I'm starting to sound like @Summerbee someone please give me a dig...

Spot-on. The hypocrite's hypocrite. That's the one. The fella who went on relentlessly about A Johnson and P Di Canio two individuals but doesnt have a single moral problem with one of the most horrendous human rights abusing states on earth effectively owning nufc.
Now she's left in a position where she can't avoid talking about the disgusting human rights abuses by KSA she'll sharp keep her gob shutNot heard anything from Chi Onwurah on this
Theyre an abomination of a country but then so are Qatar who have let thousands of migrant workers die just to stage their corrupt World Cup.
What about abramvich and his scrupulous dealings in russia, more corruption and murders again albeit on a lesser scale.
How many people on here genuinely cared about what was going on in Saudi Arabia before the takeover was announced, you could count them on one hand no doubt.
faux outrage, pure jealousy
Bless
I support jarra, buzzing coz they’re investing in the reejun
Well said.I’ve seen us be shite in the 90s pre Reid. Endured 15 & 19 point seasons in the top flight. Back to back relegation, but you know what apart from a few years under Short we’ve maintained the working class principles the club was founded on.
Look at the criticism the club received from the Durham miners and certain supporter groups for appointing Di Canio due to his alleged right wing views.
Your mob took the moral high ground over the Johnson debacle despite systemic abuse and bullying of young players at your own club and throughout football.
Make no mistake, what your club now represents and you have sold your soul for is on a whole new level.
If the shoe was on the other foot my season card would have been cut up and binned today and I’d start supporting a Northern League team full time.
Certain things such as human rights, equality and the brutality of your owners are far more important to take a stance on than winning games of football. But crack on trying to justify this.
It’s not about Newcastle (I’d be equally appalled) if this lot has managed to buy it’s way in to another English club… including SAFC!
Slow, so very slow…
Many here are “joking” about the death of a journalist in Turkey…allegedly committed on the orders of a foreign government…
I assume, therefore that American ownership of sports will now be questioned as the American military allegedly killed 11 civilians in Kabul recently
At least the likes of this brings to light how the current Labour Party operateNow she's left in a position where she can't avoid talking about the disgusting human rights abuses by KSA she'll sharp keep her gob shut
That's different.I thought it was 200m over 4 years?
Hope his mrs is ok, you know the one who walked out on him?Awwwww.
@tfNUFC: Who knew there were so many Human Rights Activists on Wearside? Amnesty International will be taking thousands of new DDs from addresses with SR postcodes. Or is it all just bitter, lemon sucking hypocrisy on stilts? #NUFC
No self respecting Sunderland fan should refer to them wankers as the 'toon'
The council will be rubbing their hands, they wanted this deal as they will invest heavily in Newcastle, not the region just Newcastle. The fans didn’t really care about that but the council did.If the detractors (Chi Onwurah and Newcastle Labour Council Leader Nick Forbes) who are quoting the human rights issues are true to their conscience then they can make a big statement ...... St James Park is owned by Newcastle City Council. As Freeholders and Landlords they could serve the Saudi Owners with their Notice.
I would guess that the new Saudi Owners will be looking to build their own stadium anyway and so the City Council will be left with a white elephant of a rugby league stadium which they can sell for housing and retail development
Inform his there’s a very good reason you’ve not spoken to him in so long. Then block the kernt.I've just had a Whatsapp off a mag I last worked with in 2014 and haven't spoken to since 2016.
