I've seen this repeated often on here since the takeover story ran. But that has never been the chief complaint about Ashley's tenure. It's being brought up and exaggerated now to try and score points.

I’ve seen us be shite in the 90s pre Reid. Endured 15 & 19 point seasons in the top flight. Back to back relegation, but you know what apart from a few years under Short we’ve maintained the working class principles the club was founded on.

Look at the criticism the club received from the Durham miners and certain supporter groups for appointing Di Canio due to his alleged right wing views.

Your mob took the moral high ground over the Johnson debacle despite systemic abuse and bullying of young players at your own club and throughout football.

Make no mistake, what your club now represents and you have sold your soul for is on a whole new level.

If the shoe was on the other foot my season card would have been cut up and binned today and I’d start supporting a Northern League team full time.

Certain things such as human rights, equality and the brutality of your owners are far more important to take a stance on than winning games of football. But crack on trying to justify this.

It’s not about Newcastle (I’d be equally appalled) if this lot has managed to buy it’s way in to another English club… including SAFC!

I agree about the dressing up and head rags, it’s important to remember who they are and what they stand for and any Arab clothing or Saudi flags is wrong IMO. I know plenty will do it. As football fans you will get carried away by the hope and prospect of that size of wealth, it’s surreal and makes Man City look like paupers

any fan of any club in the world would be up a height after years of Ashley to that. Anyone who suggest otherwise is a hypocrite and the jealousy is killing them

I never said it was the chief complaint, it was a big factor though as his sports direct business and home was targeted numerous times.
