This has changed. The supporters have not. In the main we are the same as you lot. Working class folk who have seen the club win nowt. Go to games expecting nowt. The supporters, of both clubs, are the thing that has long marked us out as being special. The crowds both clubs attract are exceptional under any metric you care to utilise. The away support is second to, almost, none.
All these riches guarantee only one thing. We should improve. We are a long, long way behind West Ham and Everton who should be the initial target. We are, in my opinion, a decade of heavy investment, astute management and luck behind Man City, LFC, Chelsea and Man Utd.
Talk of League titles in 5 years is just madness. Qualifying for the Champions League in 5 years would be a huge success.

Unfortunately the thousands that were there last night won't really have the same views as you.
Your expectations are probably spot on, problem is that will not be enough for a lot of your fellow mags who will now expect world domination of the football world

No I’ve lived amongst majority matchgoing Newcastle fans all my life so I think I’m as good a judge as any really.

Best bit, she says the last time they won a trophy was the FA cup in the 50s ! Doesn't even know about the Craft Fairs cup in 69 altho maybe she doesn't consider it worthwhile enough ? Uefa didn't I suppose.
 
I heard one of them on Talksport, some fans liaison bloke, tying himself in f***ing knots, saying how they would enter into dialogue re human rights and equality, then saying the owners dont necessarily represent the fan base, but then welcoming them with open arms. Looks like KLD has made a very astute purchase, because it seems there are people willing to hoy £300 million at a shit team and a dilapidated stadium, he will potentially make some money sometime in the future
