That's what's being reported on radio 4 all morning. Not fit and proper but their word is good enough. God knows how "running" or "involved" has been defined.

fwiw, there are houses in Morpeth and Ponteland that'd go for north of £2.5m.

Bet you're getting more than .25 acres of land with that though. The equivalent in Newcastle would be a large house in Gosforth.

Probably the clearest evidence in this whole thing that the Premier League is indeed corrupt, is the fact that they completely binned off their own Owners and Directors test (which the Saudis should definitely fail) literally hours after it became clear that their tv revenues from the Middle East were secure.

There was a video clip not that long ago with Griezmann and Mbappe on a plane. Griezmann tells mbappe that he signed him for Newcastle on football manager. Mbappes reaction said it all. Absolutely no chance will they ever sign that kind of player, basically because of geography.

For all those that say money talks it does, but if someone of that calibre is available then all the top clubs are offering those wages. He's does not choose the North east of England to live!

This is why it’s so refreshing to see our approach at the moment. Rightly or wrongly, global superstars don’t want to live in a far corner of regional England. Most struggle outside of London and Manchester to be honest.

The only way a club like ours can be successful is to build using youth and local/national players supplemented by some experienced pros (profile of which linked to level your playing at)

If this happens for them, they’ll throw money at some absolute dross, some mercenaries, and occasionally a decent player who will within 2 years agitate for a move to a European giant. The era of a Chelsea or Man City buying the league is over.
