NUFC/Sportwashing

We were also right about the big 6 influence before they pulled the ESL stunt. It just isn't allowed on here to consider positive fan intervention.

In all honesty everyone knows the Premier League isn't squeaky clean. Whenever money of this magnitude is involved something is dirty.

The fact that the hold up to this was the TV rights and not the human rights is an absolute disgrace.

I don't blame fans for getting excited but no state should be allowed to own a club.

That daft local MP moans about the government yet is happy to welcome human right abusers into the city. I'll never understand that logic as long as I have a hole in my arse.

Chi Onwurah was spending time during lockdown questioning the morality of Mike Ashley and whether or not he'd upset a few NUFC fans. I'm a Labour supporter but the fact she prioritised that over I dunno, jobs, money etc was utterly ludicrous.
They'd sell their souls to be a part of the corrupt cartel.

The thing the daft Mags can't seem to grasp is - it doesn't look very good if you criticise the top 6 and the top teams in the PL and then if the takeover goes through, knock on the door and go 'Can we come in'

I want the game to be completely open to scrutiny, I want the EPL to do more to support the EFL and most of all, I want more money invested into grass roots football. That's never changed.

So you want the prospective new owners of your club to be completely open to scrutiny? Do you think that will happen?

They will say we need to be in there so we can create change, inclusion, openness and transparency from within.

And now creates her a bit of a problem. Is she going to raise the issue of the Saudi regime owning her local club? Welcoming a misogynistic, homophobic and intolerant regime as viable partners as opposed to rejecting someone who uses zero hours contracts as immoral isn’t a particularly comfortable place for a leftist to sit.

Will there be any fan intervention or outcry against your would be new owners given their backward ways?
What would it achieve ? It's for the PL, governments and businesses to decide who they deal with. Our country is happy to sell them arms, our queen is happy to meet the prince. There is a lot of fucked up things happening with regards to the Saudi's and people bending over backwards for them.

I'm going to do what I've always done, support my team. I can't control any of the above. If my club starts being run poorly, you can guarantee as sure as shit I will be vocal about it.

Zero excitement from me about this. Another load of sketchy money from dubious sources and nae guarantee of any trophies for selling our soul.

She’s a disgrace.

Shameful.

I'll take that as a 'no'
