Look guys, I’m not going to try and defend Saudi Arabia. They’re *****. There is no denying that.
When the original deal was agreed, I struggled with it and how I would react. In the end, I decided I would continue to support the team but I would do whatever was within my (very limited power) to protest the human rights abuses in SA while still supporting my team. You can argue the rights and wrongs of this, but I have come to terms with this.
If you would give up supporting Sunderland if PIF bought them, then you have my admiration. I’m a moral man but at the end of the day, I’m not going to turn away from the club I support. If that makes me a terrible human then so be it.
Like you care about anything Saudi Arabia stand for and have inflicted on others.
Your fanbase have shown themselves for what they are today needy, desperate, literally anything goes for a few signings
Haven’t seen one of ur fanbase against it which speaks volumes
Would love nothing better than this going tits up
Your fans are scum plain and simple, all this ‘we want a team that tries’ crap, all about being Man City plain and simple all the abuse for Adam Johnson oh the irony
ashamed of nothing offended by everything, your club in a nutshell

Nope, we're backed by Usmanov who's not on the board to avoid that conflict and we're still struggling.

Lots of other clubs struggle to spend within FFP.
We'll see then. I can't see their motivation being anything other than competing basically as Saudi Arabia under the guise of Newcastle, like Qatar do with PSG and Abu Dhabi do with Man City.

Not you specifically. But there will be tens of thousands (I think?) who were perfectly happy to take up a principled stance over playing squad investment and some advertising hoardings at the stadium, who will no doubt be crawling back now with some mental gymnastics to justify the new ownership group.
Like I say that's up to them. Football fans are fickle, well known for it. I don't doubt if it happens many fans will come back and new ones created probably. It's why you see Man City and Chelsea shirts all over.

I've no doubt that's their aim eventually but it won't be overnight or quickly, they'll have to stick to the same rules as everyone else.

You could probably argue they'll have to be even more careful as all eyes will be on them and their dealings.

Never noticed this saber mag poster before, but fuck me what an intolerable arse hole
Been called worse then that many times. Today.
😂 I was thinking more of your fanbase. If you want to increase revenue then simply hike up tickets and charge more for merchandise.
Aye ticket prices will be first. It'll make armchair supporters out of some people, but others will sacrifice elsewhere to make it work.

Most people put their football club before any morals/values they have. Sad but true and I include myself in that so I won't have a go at the mags for it. The way they treat woman and gays for example, I should be disgusted and totally distance myself from them...but I wouldn't.

I hope their name gets dragged through the mud in the media, they become hated and they run it like a business rather than spend a fortune every window. Then they get the worst of both worlds.
So how far would you have to take it then? Where’s your moral compass? What if the owner of your club was a convicted sex offender or paedophile? A Savile, a Weinstein. Would you still be behind the club? Would you feel any less at ease? Or is there no line? There’s nothing much more heinous than what these folk have got up to in all fairness and they are soon to be the public face, the custodians of Newcastle. It would sicken me to the core and I’d have nothing to do with it. I’m 100% certain of that

Well let's hope it goes massively tits up!
