I think outside looking in its very easy to say you would stop supporting your club, maybe some would, and maybe some will. But fans have no say in this (if it happens). I can't turn my back on back on a club I have followed for 30 years because of something out of my control.

Just been sent something, and I actually didn't realise the wealth behind them, that has it at 10 times the Man City owner. Not sure if uts accurate mind but it's staggering.

How do you not know this? Or are you just pretending you dont so you can keep posting about it?

Means fuck all against the backdrop of the PL’s spending limits.
They’ve got a lot of mediocre players on long contracts too, it’s the wage bill that’s the issue, it’s not possible now to do what Man City and Chelsea did and double their wage bill over 2 transfer windows.

Sets you back a year though and falls you down the pecking order of attractive clubs. A lot has been said about the massive wealth, so why do PIF only account for 80% of the takeover rather than 100%?
I imagine it's so there is a familiar face at the front of it and some links with the UK.

I don’t argue with any of that. PIF have significant investment in Disney, Facebook, Boeing etc. Just wondering if you boycott them as well.
Good on you for turning your back on the club you love if they are sold to someone with terrible morals.
They aren't just someone with bad morals they are murderers, this isn't a little George Reynolds rascal this is like Putin buying a club and everyone being ok with it.

Just never realised. Genuinely. I thought the deal was over, not on Twitter, and just bever really looked much into it. I knew they were rich, just not the exact level.

They might have the richest owner in the world, but they aren’t the richest club.

It’s a huge difference.
It’s mad how people dont realise this, They arent owed by an individual, it’s a state that has thousands of operations worldwide.

They will absolutely improve Newcastle, to what degree is unknown. Its a massive risk with no footballing people involved and a regime that doesnt act normally.

Bizzare scenario all round.

Look guys, I’m not going to try and defend Saudi Arabia. They’re *****. There is no denying that.
When the original deal was agreed, I struggled with it and how I would react. In the end, I decided I would continue to support the team but I would do whatever was within my (very limited power) to protest the human rights abuses in SA while still supporting my team. You can argue the rights and wrongs of this, but I have come to terms with this.
If you would give up supporting Sunderland if PIF bought them, then you have my admiration. I’m a moral man but at the end of the day, I’m not going to turn away from the club I support. If that makes me a terrible human then so be it.

They're all freely available to invest in on the stock exchange. NUFC aren't.

More importantly people don't support them businesses the same way football fans do, as far as anybody is concerned you are about to be painted as terrorist funding, murdering religious fundamentalists. That's Newcastle United now.

Means fuck all, much like us you're 10 years too late to use it quickly like City.

It'll have to be done over time.
