Put a flat earthier into space


You see very little of the Earth and certainly not anywhere where you could see a diametrical entirety.
That Tim Peake seems a decent bloke. He's been in space and seen the planet from that height. He took a lot of pictures and has a book out. Do you think he's a liar and the pics are computer generated?
Ok he's making money from his book. But wouldn't it make a hell of a lot more if he revealed that the earth wasn't a globe?

It depends how you want to look at it I suppose.
I mean you can go by the so called microgravity we get told about on this so called ISS and watch Tim do a somersault acting like he's on a harness or you can believe his dodgy somersault was down to microgravity going dodgy at that particular time.

I think he's in a zero gravity situation and he did a slow rotation. I looked closely and can't see a harness, the outline of a harness or any wires attached to his body.
The rotation did look odd I must say. Not like other film we've seen of weightlessness in space. But I think that's down to the quality of the video.They're the best quality I've seen. No graininess or noise. At first I didn't realise he was in his spaceship. He's deffo weightless though.

I’d hire him as a solicitor and win on the basis the other team simply give up.

The judge would probably have him committed after about an hour of his drivel.
But that does nothing to measure the smell of hops so it is little more than a fantasy you have been schooled in.

Especially when he has me on ignore. :lol:

And yet people have been to the North Pole? And flights cross near that area often?
His usual response to that is to say "people only think they have been to the north pole. You get on a plane or a boat and get off near somewhere that someone tells you is the north pole/antartica/holy island/australia, but how do you really know. You just have to sit back and accept from authority that what they say is where you are". Obviously that implies that the people taking you there are "in on the lie"

Then later accepts that you can use things like the sun and stars for navigation and it is consistent around the earth so anyone with the easy to find knowledge of such navigation could find out with relative ease if they were in these locations or not. Especially the poles.

Then blusters around his own conflicting arguments making out we are the stupid ones.

There will be some drivel by the morning along the lines of nobody really knows where they are and people are just accepting what they are told.

Ahh I know I'm just trying to work out how it works out in his head which it obviously doesn't.

To be fair, that seems to be the trait of many conspiracy nutters big on the statements but the actual details rarely work or they have no details. Flat earth, dome earth, moon landings, covid, anti-vax, brexit etc, all the big conspiracies of our time, all with nice big statements but when you get down to details there are none and even the minute bits beneath the surface are either completely wrong or conflicting.

Quite an interesting article which describes methods used to measure the density of the atmosphere of Pluto and the effects of distance (and therefore effects of radiation) during an elliptical orbit of this planet.

What is relative to this thread is the understanding of the effect of atmospheric pressure and its correlation to the distance from the sun, with a gentle nod of understanding about latency.
