Eddie Howe would be mental to take that job with a side that has no real creativity (ASM aside), poor wingers, and a defence that seems to have to play with 5 at the back.

Chuck in the uncertainty with the takeover & the fact Howe is probably one major fuck-up from never managing a PL side again it would be a big risk.
Disagree re creativity like. We have some attacking talent which Brice doesn't get the most out of.
What about next time they chop off their left hands and lob them onto the pitch. Would show their commitment, nice nod to the Arab culture they so admire, and would actually send a few shockwaves out. Harry Kane picking up a severed Geordie hand and weeping would be a powerful image.

Their crack so far has been very lame. They obviously don't care that much.

Eddie Howe doesn't travel well outside Bournemouth. He likes gentle teas with sweet old nanas and walks on sunlit beaches with shaggy dogs. I'm not sure how he'd react when people start firing cabbages at his house and holding mock funerals on his lawn.
Not sure Howe would have cabbages thrown at him. Maybe a Murray Mint.

Really?

You have a good striker in Wilson when he can get himself on the pitch and a good winger / number 10 in ASM, I think the rest are garbage.

Only one thing I hate more than murderers buying football clubs, and that's bad grammar.

Surely it's "allowed". He's tweeted it straight to the solicitor on the case. I bet he's f***ing pissing himself at the gormless twats 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂

He has a link to a Wikipedia page on his Twitter feed about the “ongoing takeover proceeding”.

Since it is on Wikipedia it must be true since Wikipedia is all official and stuff like. 😆

Fancy that the Premier leagues chief executive taking in a Premier league game.🤔

Can I change my mind, think they’re going down now :D
They're actually remind me a little of our own demise from the premiership, with successive near misses and it takes its toll. With the usual proviso of likely three worse teams than them, this season does carry that terminal stench.

And daring to speak to someone else, on his day off, without leaving a trace, how sinister.

Amazing that the OP managed to pack so much cringing stupidity into such a short post.

Even manages to capitalise the C in 'case' and write 'hopefully' instead of currently as well as misspelling 'allowed'. Not to mention sticking an apostrophe into Masters.

Fair enough if you're posting on a chat forum but this is supposed to be an intelligent man representing NUFC.

We all sometimes shoot ourselves in the foot but these idiots reload and shoot the other one.

Where is the 100m coming from? The club doesn't generate 100m surplus so it either has to come as debt or equity. Ashley own's 100% already so that rules an equity injection out so it leaves debt.
You might have missed the bit where I said that was over the length of his tenure. So it could partly come from the money ringfenced for transfers, it partly could have come from him actually paying for advertising, or from deals struck with commercial partners (an area that he has been surprisingly awful at).
Point 1 - Freddie & Dougie had gambled massively whilst rewarding themselves handsomely and the coffers were empty.

Point 2 - It was known within financial sector but very hush hush that NUFC were in deep, deep trouble at that time should they not find a buyer very soon...enter Mike Ashley.

Why, in that case, did Shepherd want to keep hold of us? Why didn't he want to take the money and run?
There have been plenty of examples of clubs who got a little dizzy with spending and who flirted with financial strife, but to suggest that only Mike Ashley could have 'saved' Newcastle is silly.
You really puzzle me.

You spend hours, days, weeks and now years trying desperately to prove that Ashley hasn't invested, has no ambition for the club and no respect for the supporters.

Yeah, we know, he's made that totally clear and it won't change.

So, seriously, what's your point?
that there's plenty of sticks to beat Newcastle with on the rivalry front without taking obviously ludicrous positions.

Did you miss the Ashley TV interview when he said he won't spend money, won't compete and has no ambition for NUFC?

And, as the sole owner of the club that owes him a fortune, doesn't want to pay for advertising.

I don't see how he could make it any clearer yet you keep ploughing on with the same argument.

Don't you ever feel like you should step back and think about what you're posting?

Your position is absolutely ludicrous and pointless.

I said I laugh at Mags who come on here twisting about Ashley, etc.

There's no hatred, I have lovely relatives who've supported Newcastle for generations.

Your hero, the Fish, has said some disgraceful things to Sunderland posters over the years, why aren't you having a pop at him.
Have I? Like what?

I enjoy watching some of you twist yourselves in knots to take a contrary position purely because it's Newcastle United. Like some are incapable of having two thoughts in your head at the same time.

e.g.

I enjoy Sunderland struggling, I want them to struggle. I think their club has been poorly run and the fans don't deserve it.

I enjoy watching you posting your pet phrase and waffling while avoiding the question.

Which is, why do you keep saying what Ashley should do when he's put on record that he won't?

Because some of you lot insist he's already doing it. Painting him as the saviour of Newcastle United when it's patently clear he isn't.

He's a decent owner, no more no less.
Have a look at who has owned you since you last won something.
You'll spot the anomaly.

He's not a 'decent' owner though. Newcastle United isn't a shop, or a warehouse, it's a sporting institution. He runs it with little to no interest in the sporting side of the club.

The only people who seem to think Ashley is anything but a negative for Newcastle United are a few blindly partisan Sunderland fans. Which is pretty juvenile. Even Mike Ashley says he's a negative for Newcastle United.

He has you financially stable and competitive in the Premier league.
He's not a great owner by any stretch but their's a lot worse, ask any amount of the big clubs who've fallen on hard times.

Maybe if you stopped with all the boycotts, protests, online campaigns, shop shouting and general negativity and actually got behind the team you might play a bit better.

And it's because of these strangers on the internet, who will obviously never change their opinion that you spend days arguing with. That's as juvenile as it gets tbh, don't you have anything better to do in your life?
