Yes. There is special way of turning mine on, like a masonic handshake. Only for the boiling water. Children can access standard water.
Far safer than a kettle which a child could choose to tip over their heads if they were so minded.

I have a Bibo classic which is a worktop version and does both hot and cold filtered water.
Depends on how often it’s used. It takes more energy to heat water to a particular temp than it does to maintain it once it’s there.

Had a quooker for 4 years . Had to totally descale once but other than that not an issue at all..
Don't know how I'd get by waiting for a kettle again
I'd say get a sperrate one as opposed to the integrated with your normal tap .

This would definitely be cost effective for us. Mrs (no) drinks obscene amounts of tea. Also she does this weird thing of filling up the whole kettle for one cup of tea
