From the craic of that Newcastle’s case is that BeIn and other premier league clubs lobbied the premier league and made them incorrectly apply their rules.

Premier league saying arbitration available to go as it was in July and they’d decide if PIF was separate to KSA.

Prem saying no competition case isn’t in question if arbitration states they’ve correctly applied their rules and then I’m guessing KSA are put through owner and director test. Which is what they’re trying to avoid.

Conspiracy apparently though lads

They seem pretty confident it'll go through now
I must be swimming against that tide then.

Don't think today changed anything, really. The sticking points are still sticky. PIF/KSA separation still the crux of the issue and unless something changes on that front, I see nothing happening.

Ashley's got a great excuse to keep the purse strings taught in the next window, though.

They’ve been told that it’ll go through if they can assure the EPL that The State won’t be a director.

So basically what they told months ago. Still won’t go through and I even wonder if the Saudis are interested now.
Several people who've watched the hearing maintain they are still interested, taken from comments from both sides.

Anti semitism. I shouldn’t be surprised being as how they are on their hands and knees grovelling to the choppers.
Can you tell the people on here who're talking about it? ;)

Didn’t they clear state months ago that they were no longer interested and had withdrawn?

Going round in circles, Ashley looking for compensation due to loss of earnings for SJH as the sale wasn't allowed to proceed, Premiership stating the offer remains on the table and the PIF would need to go through the owners and directors test, Test not going ahead as NUFC / Ashley believe the incorrect directors test is being applied.

You then have all the added baggage of the BeIN sports broadcasting rights etc being up for grabs at the time of the test and claims that the broadcasting rights influenced the decision by the PL.

Why not? Its all about financial compensation for Ashley and Staveley isnt it?
Because lying to the court could throw the whole case out? Part of the case is getting the compo for Ashley but the main part is to push through the takeover. I believe PIF are still at the table but because they’ll never be able to prove it’s not state owned that the takeover will never get approved. They said today in the court that they’ve had other credible offers for the club, why would they not take one of them offers if PIF were no longer at the table? Just doesn’t make sense.
