So the Halls and Shepherds took them to the edge of bankruptcy while taking out tens of millions and won nowt and are idolized. Ashley put in around 150 million on top of what he paid for the club to prevent bankruptcy and has put them on a financially sustainable footing. Looks like he has had about 50 million of his 150 back and has twice bankrolled them to ensure immediate promotion. He is the devil incarnate.

He paid 135 million for it in 2006/7 and then had to put in another 150 million to stop it going bust. Looks like the business has repaid about 50 million to him and he is looking to get 300 m for it which presumably includes the 100m he is owed. So in 14 years or so he will get back 350 million for an outlet of 285 million. Leaving the club debt free and in profit. You can see why they hate him so much…….

I am sure there is a ice hockey fan on here who hates Hall as a result of Newcastle sc....if he reads this remind me of what happened.

Ice Hockey, screwed Durham Wasps. Basketball, screwed Sunderland. Never meant a great deal to me but did to the fans of those teams. Look at Gosforth in Rugby, sold their souls to the 'Newcastle' brand.
