Building a road bridge

They are only 3 bridges crossing the last 50 miles of the Trent. I'm 1000% behind bridge building but let's start with some low hanging fruit instead of embarking on an engineering project that doesn't stop at building a ridiculously hard bridge

Good idea this

We could build them out of the surplus egg boxes now that the northeast is committed to distributing 270m eggs to the poor each year. That's 45m egg boxes going spare

From Britain to NI and from Britain to France. Why has this never been done ? Would surely make a lot of sense for trade and make it much easier and cost effective to drive to the continent if there was a small toll instead of the ferry hassle.
Channel Tunnel 🇬🇧🤝🇫🇷, for one of them and why would the Irish want a bridge to Britain on there 🇮🇪

Surely it was have been easier to build a bridge or allowed cars to use the tunnel

Channel - build a bridge over one of the world's busiest shipping lanes, in a location where the weather is hugely inconsistent - or build a tunnel

GB-NI - build something over the trench where we happened to dump our excess WW2 munitions - that sounds like a great idea....not
