Yes , I still have no idea why we were given a pen , couldn't see any offence even after a replay , neither could our two lads in the studio. As to those that are confidently saying it was an O'Nien handball - Unless they were stood with the home fans behind the goal I can't see what they are basing it on.

O'Nien moves and loses defender and defender reacts by wrapping his arms around O'Nien. Defender spins around O'Nien holding him back from a cleaner header at goal. Obviously the ref is yards away so will have seen it more clearly.

Whatever happened to Houghton Ref?It was a penalty, because the referee saw an offence in the penalty area normally punishable by a direct free kick . The ball was placed on the penalty spot so a player could have a single shot on goal defended only by the goalkeeper. I really don't know why people find this difficult to understand.

I hope so but in reality does SAFC ever truly learn from persistent ongoing failings and mistakes. The balance of history suggests that corrections of persistent slip ups doesn’t happen
