Nick Compton was on Twitter suggesting reason Kohli hasn’t chose Ashwin is for personal reasons rather than tactical.

Didn’t know they didn’t get on but would make more sense
 
Great opportunity for Root to get his 100 here and break the record...if he makes it a 150+ gets him closer to the most runs in a year :cool:

Ultimately, it was our first innings batting performance that has let us down again. If you stick them in to make best of the early bowling conditions it’s vital to then bat them out of the game when the batting conditions are better. Root didn’t get runs therefore we’ve let them back in.

Root would need to be about 235 not out for us to even get close.

As much as i hate to say it we have no chance like.

You know we will be two down before the ball even has a mark on it
