England vs India (fourth test) The Oval

India will declare before close of play and we’ll be 1 or 2 down

That feels inevitable

Thakur and Pant are ready to throw the bat here. Not a groundbreaking statement to say this test is certainly lost, just the pressure of chasing (if that’s even the word today) anything like 350 will really quicken the pace I fear

I'm referring to the whole thing. Gambled on a one dimensional RFM attack, dependent on a lively pitch, and a spinner selected for his batting, to take wickets. Even Durham picked a proper spinner. No wonder they're having to work hard. And Silverwood is supposed to be a bowling expert....?
Think that’s more reflection of our spinning options than anything else.

Need to slow the game down and no point flogging jimmy. Robbo and woakes.
35 mins till tea just take our time setting fields. Have some root and overton
